Word of GOD” (Part III)

TOPIC: “Word of GOD” (Third Part) 1 Peter 1:1-25

1. (Vs. 21 "Through Him you believe in God, who raised Him from the dead and glorified Him, and so your faith and hope are in God.") Loyalty to the Lord Jesus is also demanded by the fact that it is through Him that we have come to believe in God! Beautiful!

2. What would I be without Him? What would we be without Jesus?

3. I would be destroyed, in shame, with many pains, devastated, in ruins, in sorrows, in agony, etc.

4. He is the one who has revealed to us the heart of the Father!

5. He is the perfect Son who speaks of His good Father!

6. A certain Wolston said: “It is not by creation, nor by providence, nor by the Law that man knows God but thru Christ!

7. The Father indicated His total satisfaction with the redeeming work of Christ, resurrecting him from among the dead and honoring him with the position of the greatest glory in heaven!

8. The result of all this is that our "...faith and hope be in God." There is nothing to fear or anything to doubt, because our hope is exclusively in God! No one can defeat Him! As children we have conquered! Because He raised Jesus from the dead so that today we may be His succeeding children!

9. My hope is God, because through Jesus I have obtained such privilege.

10. It is in Him that we live and move and have our being, it is not in our present world evil system (Acts 17:28).

11. "Now that you have purified yourselves by obeying the truth..." (Vs. 22)

12. Obedience should be in our lives.

13. OBEDIENCE is to respect, abide by, tolerate, accept, do what we are told, comply with the will of the authority or whoever is in charge.

14. No one can be a child of God if he revolts (if he rebels, rises, mutinies).

15. Look, the children of the Lord ARE OBEDIENT!

16. We can examine ourselves to see if we are, it would not be bad!

17. The new birth tells us that one of the changes this produces is "...brotherly love..." Love between brothers. It is a disinterested love! A love that invites to take care of one another!

18. We know of the obligation to love!

19. Nowadays a lot of forgiveness is asked because it is not understood that to love is OUR OBLIGATION.

20. "Having purified your souls." We have been born again, we should have purified lives.

21. PURIFICATION is the process that eliminates imperfections and the strange, to recuperate the essence.

22. When we believe in God, our purification begins.

23. The means employed in this purification is obedience to the truth!

24. Brother, there is no other gospel! That is how it functions!

25. Beware of rebelling, it would be to revolt (you would riot) against the Creator, as the devil did!

26. This is the second time that Peter describes the faith that saves as an act of obedience (I Peter 1:2)

27. True faith is A FAITH THAT OBEYS!

28. (John 9:6-7) The blind man obeyed! Simple! And then he was healed! How easy it is to obey! To rebel is hatred, it is contention, discussion, pride! All this is the product of rebelling.

29. This can only be done "...thru the Spirit..."

30. There is the matter, when there is no obedience to the truth, the Spirit is not there!

31. One of the objectives of the new birth is a "...sincere love for your brothers..."

32. It is easy to pretend, it is difficult to love, because the soul has to be purified, but obedience to the truth is not wanted.

33. In a very real sense, we are saved to love all our Christian brothers!

34. WE CAN NOT LIVE IN WAR!

35. Through this love we know that we have passed from death to life (1 John 3:14)! And because of Him the world knows that we are disciples of the Lord (John 13:35). Because it is pure love!

36. (Vs. 23) "...for you have been born again, not of corruptible seed..." The semen (seed) of our birth is "...the word of God..." Let us be clear, it is not in the same way as natural birth.

37. Natural human life comes by a seed that obeys the physical laws of decay and death.

38. But, your new birth is produced through the word of God!

39. This is the matter of the word, "...that lives and endures forever..."

40. Although heaven and earth pass, it will never pass!

41. The word is the absolute truth, it is forever established in heaven and produces "life" that is eternal.

42. (Vs. 24) Human life is not so permanent, it is "...like grass..." How much people cling to what is soon over and how little is sought for the eternal! How much do you seek the eternal? Look at what you talk about, what you appear to be. Would you know what your heart really desires?

43. The physical beauty is as ephemeral as the flowers of the field and you treat it as if it were eternal. It is easy to change the eternal for the ephemeral! Don't do it.

44. "The grass withers, and the flowers fall...", dies!

45. (Vs. 25) What a contrast! But, the word of the Lord remains forever.

46. You should then think that your new life is equally incorruptible!

47. This incorruptible word is the word of the good news that has been announced to the readers of Peter which caused them to be born again! You too!

48. THE WORD IS, WAS AND WILL BE THE SOURCE OF ETERNAL LIFE! Here it is taught; learn it!

49. It is the source for YOUR PERFECTION TOWARDS YOUR ETERNITY AND TO SEE GOD! Amen.
