You Hear the Prayer

TOPIC: "You Hear the Prayer" Revelation 5:8

In Genesis 4:26 we are told about the beginning of praying to God. "At that time men BEGAN TO INVOKE THE NAME OF JEHOVAH." The beginning of prayer here on earth at the commencement of mankind. Perhaps Adam already knew about speaking with God, because he knew Him directly.

I. (Psalm 65:2) "O you who hear prayer..."

A. The psalmist David evidently believed in a personal God.

1. For such reason he adores him! Not an idea, but God!

2. Going to God is the life of the true religion! We go crying in our conversion, waiting from God in supplication!

3. When we have acknowledged the true God, we feel encouraged by our own success in prayer!

4. In our prayer we persuade God to also reach others. Thus, the kingdom of God reaches your own, your own come to Him!

5. As "sure" as it is that God is the true God, so it is "sure" that none of those who diligently seek Him will be left without a reward!

6. You would doubt that He is God before doubting that He would not hear the prayer or reward you.

7. Do you not doubt that HE is God?

8. Then, if you know that He is God, why do you not worship Him in spirit and in truth? (John 4:23-24)

9. What does He answer? Yes, of course. You know that when you are in trouble, He has responded you and you have seen His miracles. But, WHEN YOU ARE IN DIFFICULTY, YOU CEASE TO PRAY AND TO SEEK HIM!

B. Let's look at Romans 8:26-27.

1. (Vs. 26) The Holy Spirit sustains us in our weakness!

2. In the life of prayer you remain perplexed (confused, you do not know what God is going to do).

3. "We do not know what we ought to pray for..." We do not know how to pray as we should.

4. The great percentage of prayers are with selfishness, in an ignorant way (James 4:2-3)

5. Once again, the Holy Spirit comes to our side to help us with our weakness, interceding for us with groans that cannot be expressed.

6. From the moment we convert we are observing, with care and somewhat concealed within the invisible and spiritual realm, a great Person and great forces that are working in our favor!

7. Although everything is not understood, we can take infinite breath on the basis of the fact that A GROAN can sometimes be THE MOST SPIRITUAL of our prayers!

8. (Vs. 27) If God searches the hearts of men, He can also interpret the mentality of the Spirit.

9. The great thing is that the prayers of the Holy Spirit by us are always conformed to the will of God!

10. They are always for our good!

11. If you do not pray, you do not obtain! Then you are scarce, carnal and you only live for the misery of the flesh!

C. (Revelation 5:8) Here it speaks about your prayers, if you have them. I hope so!

1. The four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb as a sign of worship!

2. It is the most solemn act of the royal investiture of the Lamb and it can be seen by the worship of His subjects.

3. Immediately the angel lays the incense.

4. They are golden cups filled with incense, representing THE PRAYERS OF THE SAINTS!

5. WHAT AN IMPORTANT ROLE PRAYER PLAYS IN THE DESTINY OF THE WORLD!

6. (Revelation 8:3-5) "Another angel...and stood at the altar."

7. TO THE PRAYERS OF ALL THE SAINTS!

8. A lot of incense to add to the prayers of all the saints!

9. The smoke of incense with the prayers of the saints rose to the presence of God! IF YOU PRAY, YOUR PRAYERS WILL BE THERE TO GIVE A PLEASING SMELL TO GOD! Amen.
