Our Own Justice

STUDY: # 1035 -CHURCH IN THE HOUSES FROM: JUNE 11 @ 17, 2019

TOPIC: "Our Own Justice" 2 Corinthians 10:12 JUSTICE is a characteristic (a quality) of God that is necessary, since it is totally related to God’s HOLINESS! As believers, we need to know that there is an ABSOLUTE JUSTICE (total, whole, complete) of God. The Lord’s justice is that RIGHTEOUSNESS of divine nature, in which God is INFINITELY JUST in Himself. And because His justice is linked (united) with His perfection, God stands against everything that violates His Holiness and lets us see that He is completely holy.

I. In 2 Corinthians 10:12, God speaks to us, through Paul, about THOSE WHO PRAISE THEMSELVES.

A. God is justice. He is our Judge.

1. Paul was not so bold as to be among those who praise themselves.

2. Those whose only model or comparison example is their own life.

3. Our problem in life is when we do as we please, as if there were no consequences. But God is a just Judge and everything is measured by His person, not by your life.

4. According to us, we will always be right. But we are not reasonable enough to think that there is A GOD over our heads WHO IS A JUDGE!

5. Those brothers spoke badly of Paul, before the Corinthians, in such a way that they made him an object of ridicule.

6. Measuring themselves for themselves, and comparing themselves to themselves, they were not judicious (sane, cautious).

7. If things were like that for them, then, according to them, there was nothing to change in their lives.

8. We should know our God. His justice is a characteristic of God, which is necessary since it is totally related to His holiness.

9. JUSTICE IS ENVELOPED IN GOD’S HOLINESS.

10. When there is no justice in a life there is no sanctification, no sanctity. THERE IS NO PURITY TO BE ABLE TO LIVE WELL WITH OTHERS IN LIFE.

B. Proverbs 20:6 "Many a man proclaims his own steadfast love, but who can find a faithful man?" Goodness itself!

1. Who will find a faithful man?

2. What an agony! Where are the faithful men? They are scarce!

3. Many seem generous (that is where confusion lies) and even promise to be generous, but when the moment of truth comes, they back down.

4. Those who "call themselves friends of man," are really interested VERY LITTLE IN THE WELFARE OF OTHERS!

5. God lives watching over us, because He lives in what He is, in His justice because it is totally related to His holiness!

6. Or Justice or the flesh!

C. Proverbs 12:15 The fool thinks he is right in everything he says and does.

1. He cannot receive, nor seek good advice.

2. Those who are cautious wish to be advised and corrected, because they distrust themselves and are interested in learning.

3. The greatest flaw of many who have and who are considered wise is that they persist in their opinions and refuse to listen to others’ reasoning; with it, they deprive themselves of the best means of learning more and more.

D. Proverbs 30:12 We must leave our righteousness; God’s righteousness is best for your life.

1. That they believe they are clean when they are full of filth on the inside.

2. Proud, haughty.

3. In your own opinion, you do your own justice.

4. When you have not cleansed yourself of filth!

5. YOU MAKE THOSE THAT ARE CLOSE TO YOU AGONIZE.

E. Jeremiah 2:35 You said: "I have not sinned."

1. One refuses to confess guilt.

2. God lets us see His justice: assuring them that excuses and reasons are worthless to God.

3. If you think that with the hypocritical confession of innocence, the wrath of God will depart, you are wrong!

4. In the sanctification of God, justice is a characteristic.

5. God calls for judgment to convince man that he is not innocent, BUT GUILTY.

6. You have to change your ways, AND THAT COSTS! Look: You can talk if there are fruits of repentance; not silence, but confession.

7. God forgives, but you may have led some to agony. The result of sin and self-righteousness are unfortunate. Amen.
