We must suffer in His purposes

"We must suffer in His purposes" (1 Kings 19:3-8) Life wants to mold us with what comes upon you. Weakening us, then makes us weak, vulnerable, they can harm us. We stopped conquering for what we were or are for this earth. The Bible says that before the foundation of the world (Ephesians 1:4) He chose us in Him; it is in the Person and work of the Lord Jesus that all of God's purposes to His people are accomplished since before the foundation of the world. And the purpose is that "we should be holy" and without blemish before His love. You measure yourself according to how you live before Him. Will you pray, "Lord make me holy now, since it is your "ultimate" purpose for me? Firm determination to make. (action).

I. Who was Elijah?

A. A chosen one filled with God's purpose.

1. When the circumstances come to test our lives, when in cold blood it opens the doors to destroy you.

2. Truly, brother, what is sought is that you are not faithful to the principles that God has established for you.

3. How do you respond to God's purpose?

4. You are chosen in Him; it is in the Person and work of the Lord Jesus that all of God's purposes are accomplished for you.

5. "Don't look at Jezebel."

6. What demons with these qualities are in your way to disturb God's will in you?

7. Elijah: He brought fire from heaven, that it did not rain, made a jar of flour not empty, power, miracle. He was such a worthy prophet that he was transferred and taken from the earth in a chariot of fire.

8. When God is in one there is no reason to fear any machination of the devil.

B. (Vs. 3) What makes you fear?

1. We are always exposed to dangers (situation in which there is the possibility of threat, that a misfortune occurs, that something bad happens).

2. Your eyes already see the danger: What do you do?

3. Beersheba is in Judah, outside the territory of Acaba (Israel).

4. When the devil shakes (rocks from one side to the other quickly and energetically, shake) the easiest thing is to flee, to the opposite place we should be.

5. It is to abandon our place and the devil then takes our territory to destroy it.

6. The enthusiasm of the people had been short-lived, for no one was protecting him in Israel; so, he fell into a deep depression.

7. God had entrusted him with service in Israel, he did wrong to flee "from there."

8. Elijah with this action distrusts God's protection.

9. Remember: He chose us in Him; it is in the Person and work of the Lord Jesus that all of God's purposes for His People are accomplished.

10. What you and I do is in Jesus, according to the purposes of God who has entrusted us to carry it out since before the foundation of the world.

11. What does it matter who or who does not obey? God will do, but we will be wrong for our emotions of the soul not of the Holy Spirit.

12. The Holy Spirit knows that a work must be done and has us to fulfill, not to regret or tribulation.

13. (V.4) His servant remains in Beersheba so as not to expose him.

14. One day on the road, tired, faint, and depressed, he sat under a juniper and asked God to take his life.

15. Jezebel would kill him and be left in shame when he had exterminated the prophets of Baal.

16. God abandoned him to his depression to show that, "when he was brave (courage, claws) and daring (dares to face difficult or dangerous situations), he was so because of the power that God conferred on him (honor) while leaving himself, he was no better than his parents nor better than his brothers.

17. (Vs. 5) By an angel God feeds him in the wilderness he had entered, facing need and danger.

18. After asking for death, Elijah lay down and fell asleep, woke up and found himself not only provided with food and drink, but also assisted by an angel, who "had watched over him in his sleep and called him twice to eat."

19. Our lives, wherever they may be, as they are always on "the ground of the Father, are also under the care of the Father."

20. You feel lost in your wilderness now, but remember, God doesn't lose sight of you.

21. He chose us in Him; it is in the Person and work of the Lord Jesus that all of God's purposes to His people are accomplished.

22. (Vs. 6) It strengthens him with that meal, it was prepared by angels, he was able to make the journey of forty days until he reached the Horeb, there he went to a communion with God.

23. The one who orders the trip also provides the food.

24. Jesus, Moses, and Elijah were kept alive for 40 days without any other food.

25. It is better to suffer than to flee. Amen.
