"The Fear of God Reigns in Your Heart" Exodus 9:20-21 The care that God has, not only to make a difference between Egyptians and Israelites, but also between some Egyptians and others, since some believed what was said and were afraid of the Word of Jehovah and made their servants and cattle come home, as Noah did. (Hebrews 11:7) By faith Noah, when he was warned by God about things that were not yet seen, fearfully prepared the ark in which his house would be saved. The fear of God shows the prudence of those fearful men. Among Pharaoh's servants, there were those who trembled at the word of God.

I. (Nehemiah 5:15) Nehemiah did not lord over the people because of the fear of God.

A. The wall was built in fifty-two days and for certain they rested on the Sabbath, for it was law for them.

1. There were many who were employed in the work and did it with joy because they loved it.

2. When the enemies learned that the wall was finished, they felt humiliated.

3. Envy and intimidation came, but the fear of God drove him more than any man on earth.

4. (Job 1:7) To travel the earth and to walk on it.

a. He does not say or declare that he has done anything good or bad; he is content to report his walks without telling the truth that he is always going around looking for someone to devour (1 Peter 5:8).

b. Our enemy lets us see here his incessant activity.

c. As a disembodied being, he does not feel sleepy, hunger, or tired.

d. Its invisibility means that its presence is not felt so it can be introduced anywhere.

e. There is, therefore, no safe place against the devil; Let it be clear, above you is the blood of Christ, beware of not being in the Lord.

f. Beware of the skinny side of your life, because it is the place where he takes the path to produce temptation and that speaks of your fear of God.

g. There is no place for the enemy in your life, so you close all the doors of your life to him.

5. (Jonah 1:9, 16) Sailors ask Jonah questions.

a. Jonah makes a very clear and courageous confession of faith.

b. He was fleeing Jehovah’s presence.

c. (V. 10) Those men feared greatly; why have you done this?

d. Sailors are alarmed by Jonah's disobedience.

e. Far more than Jonah was and they "fear Jehovah's punishment."

f. (V.16) These men feared Jehovah and offered sacrifice to Jehovah and took vows.

g. The fear of Jehovah fell and what was wrong had to be resolved, Jonah for the fish.

6. (Acts 5:11) When the great fear of Jehovah comes.

a. A great fear came upon the whole church and upon all who heard these things.

b. Respect for God and His judgments thus increased.

c. Not that he fell like a pitcher of cold water on the happiness and holy joy of the early believers, but he taught them to take things seriously and to rejoice in "fear and trembling."

d. This man had not been converted, his god was money and so he took his family.

e. Scoops (tithes) is the first thing you earn for yourself.

f. Tithing is of grace, say so; Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Jesus; without ceasing to do so; and very clear Hebrews 7:8 in grace.

g. A sister said to me, "I was converted," and these are the firstfruits, it's not when tithing is torn.

7. (Acts 9:31) The church, then, enjoyed peace.

a. Paul was converted, they had no one to bother them.

b. After the storm comes calm.

c. The church was built, that is, it grew on the basis of faith and "walked in the fear of the Lord."

d. It increased in number thanks to the help of the Holy Spirit.

e. They walked the straight path and God blessed them.

8. (Acts 10:2) He was pious and God-fearing.

a. With his whole house.

b. His example was contagious, so that not only did he fear God, but his entire house: his entire family, which included servants.

c. He was a cheerful giver, for he made many alms to the people, that is, to the poor.

d. He was a man of prayer: he "prayed to God continually, that is, he faithfully observed the hours of prayer proper to the Jews.

e. Whenever the fear of God reigns in the heart, from there spontaneously springs works of piety and justice throughout his life.
