"I Was Born to Do Good on Earth" - Galatians 6:7-10 When the farmer sows wheat, he mows wheat, sometimes to thirty, sometimes to sixty, and sometimes to one hundred and one. One (J.A. Fraud) lesson said: One lesson and only one can be said that history repeats clearly and that is that somehow the world is built on a moral basis and that in the long run it goes well for the good and that in the long run it goes badly for the bad.

I. Do not be fooled.

A. No one mocks God, taunts.

1. Not a gesture or a saying whose purpose is to mock God, God will never put up with anyone.

2. No one mocks God with impunity (without lack of punishment).

3. The reason: Because whatever a man has sown, he will also reap.

4. It is evident that he will reap it from the hands of God.

5. (Job 4:8) As I have seen those who plow (Open furrows in the earth with the plow (instrument) to sow) iniquity (evil, perversity, injustice, quite the opposite, to morality, justice and religion) sow insult (insult that offends, accusation or discredit to do harm), mows it (cuts, collects) (it is what they harvest).

6. (Hosea 8:7) For they sowed wind and whirlwind (whirlpool) they will reap; they will have no harvest (cereal = wheat, oats, barley), nor will their spike make flour; and if they do, strangers will eat it.

7. (Galatians 6:8) For he who sows for his flesh, from the flesh will reap corruption (action and effect of depraving, spoiling, perverting, harming).

8. For he who sows for his own flesh will reap corruption from the flesh, but he who sows for the spirit of the spirit will reap eternal life.

9. Paul means that the flesh is always very much ours, while the spirit is the new nature that has been born in us by divine operation, it is a gift of God's grace.

10. He who sows for the flesh reaps a harvest of frustration and loss right here on the earth, because as they age, they realize that the flesh to "please the one they had lived is decaying" rapidly.

11. In the new life they will lose "eternal rewards."

12. Each of the two fields produces something of the same kind as what it sowed: corrupt flesh gives corruption; "the regenerated spirit gives eternal life."

13. Paul does not blame the ground, but the sower.

14. The strength of the figure is in the sowers and in what their work achieves.

15. Neither the seed nor the land is mentioned because no one can sow without them.

16. (Galatians 6:9) Let us not tire of practicing good because in due time we will reap a magnificent harvest if we do not faint.

17. We are exhorted to perseverance in the good, for there are those who start well, but do not persevere.

18. A field of wheat is not harvested the day after it is sown.

19. In the spiritual realm, the reward certainly follows the faithful sowing, "in due time."

20. (Galatians 5:7) Who hinders you from obeying the truth?

21. Sometimes the farmer suffers because of the cold of winter and the heat of summer, which produce physical discomfort and the natural fatigue of sustained effort; but he does not have to remember in the face of difficulties, since his experience teaches him that after sowing will come mowing.

22. (M.H.) There is a reward in reserve, for all who are sincerely dedicated to doing good.

23. Even if our reward is delayed, "it will surely come."

24. (Galatians 6:10) As we have the opportunity, let us do good to all and mostly to our relatives in the faith.

25. Paul does not say time, but "opportunity."

26. Having earthly life, we have time, but we don't always have the "opportunities" to do good. So, we should not miss any of those opportunities, which never come back. Others may come, already similar, already different, but those that passed "without being taken advantage of", will never return. And from them we will be held accountable, as James says (James 4:17): and he who knows how to do good, and does not do it, is sinful. Everyone who knows the good he should do and does not do it has sin.

27. We must do good to all, but especially to our brothers and sisters in the faith, for they are, for every faithful believer, the (other) neighbors.

28. John Wesley: "Do all the good you can," in every way you can, to as many people as you can, as long as you can."
