The Name of God - Exodus 20:7 I am Jehovah your God, jealous, strong. He punishes idolatry; God is never going to allow anyone to take it narrowly. Do not doubt that this is how the human being takes God. It is not how the mind wants to present us God. God is known not by the mind, nor by the good suggestions that the mind describes God. Then each would handle his thoughts at one's convenience; God is known as He is, by the Word, by the mind it is not that we define who God is.

I. God decrees (commands) this prohibition: You shall not take the name of Jehovah, your God in vain.

A. He who does not love Him hates Him.

1. The one who is not loved, is hated, even if we think: no, how is it going to be.

2. Those who truly love God will constantly care to keep His commandments, especially those that concern worship.

3. There is first a strict prohibition: You will not take the name of Jehovah your God in vain.

4. We take God's name in vain, (a) out of hypocrisy, when we make profession of God's name, but we do not "live" according to such a profession (the faith that must be exercised).

5. Those who refer to the name of Jesus, but do not depart from iniquity, are taking His name in vain.

6. For breaking His covenant, if we make promises to God, linking our souls with promises of good and doable things (which is easy to do), but "we do not fulfill our vows to God," we take His name in vain.

7. Negligently (carelessly), using God's name as a slogan (repeated out of habit), without ill intent.

8. Jehovah will not consider innocent the one who does so and will give a severe punishment.

9. If you sin, maybe you can consider yourself to be innocent, but God will not consider you for innocent; (Hebrews 10:31) horrendous (horror or fear) thing it is to fall into the hands of the living God.

10. (Leviticus 22:2) Take care of the honor of the sanctuary.

11. Those who were under "ceremonial" contamination, which they had possibly contracted through their fault, could not eat of the holy things while continuing in their contamination.

12. As regards the objective of this law is: a) That this compelled the "priests" to preserve their purity with all care and to fear anything that might desecrate them.

13. This made the people acquire greater respect for holy things.

14. (Deuteronomy 28:58) Jehovah your God.

15. (Isaiah 29:23) Neither ashamed Jacob, nor his face will turn pale; for he saw his children, the work of my hands" in their midst, who will sanctify the Holy One of Jacob and fear the God of Israel.

16. Jacob will not be ashamed, and the paleness caused by the humiliations and sufferings he had to suffer in the past at the hands of the enemies will disappear.

17. Isaiah: in the distant future that in the vivid (vigorous, lively, living) vision of the prophet, appears as the present.

18. God says that they are "works of my hands," many children who sanctify and fear the Holy God of Israel.

19. It is of great comfort to parents to think that their children are creatures of God, the work of the hands, of His providence.

20. But much more comfort will cause them to see that their children are new creatures of God, the work of the hands of "His grace."

21. (Isaiah 57:15) I dwell in height and holiness and with the broken and humble in spirit, to make live the spirit of the humble and to quicken the hearts of the broken.

22. (Isaiah 57:15) The High and Sublime, the one who dwells in eternity and whose name is the Holy One, nothing can compare to Him.

23. The expressions indicate His sovereign dominion over all things and the incontestable (He admits no criticism, nor doubt because it is correct) right He has to "give laws to all and hold all accountable in judgment."

24. It is immortal and immutable.

25. The righteousness of His character is infinite. His name is the Holy One and all who desire to have "friendship with Him are to seek holiness," as He is holy.

26. Living so high desires to help your life.

27. (Daniel 2:20) Blessed be God's name from centuries to centuries because forever there is in "God that which is to be blessed and praised"; it is immutable (not changed or altered) and eternally in Him.

28. (Matthew 6:9) Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name.

29. Jesus puts on our lips the words how to pray.

30. Prayer, Our Father, is rather than a prayer, it is an index of chapters in which the matters of prayer are perfectly coordinated; it begins with the supreme values until it descends to the detailed needs of each day.

31. This prayer (like any prayer) is like a letter sent from earth to heaven; because it contains all the data of a letter; the letter to whom we address: our Father, address: in heaven; the content in the various petitions, the farewell, "for yours is the kingdom, etc.; the seal, Amen, and if you will, also the date, today.

32. Of course, it has an introduction, a content, and a conclusion.
