New Life in Christ Part II Ephesians 4:22-24 When we came to Jesus, it was for a new life in Him. You know brother? a mixture of the "I" of new flesh with the life of Christ is a great error in our knowledge. You are dying and Christ is growing in you or if who we are letting die in our lives is Christ, I tell you for Him it will be of great pain, but He will leave little by little with great sadness, He does not leave angry, nor with ruin but knowing the woe that will come into your life, and He will not be able to do anything for you. The reason: you are the one who takes Him out, Jesus does not want to leave.

I. Jesus is the Master.

A. Jesus has always taught.

1. (John 7:14) But already halfway through the feast, Jesus went up to the temple and began to teach.

2. (John 3:2) Nicodemus, a chief among the Jews: Rabbi, we know that you have come from God as a teacher, because "no one" can do the signs "which you do" if God is not with him.

3. Let Him be your teacher and give Jesus your life to be your Master.

4. We are in the school of Christ, not in your school, because everyone wants to teach their criteria (rules or norms).

5. In the school of Christ we learn that at the time of conversion we put off our old man, who is flawed according to (all) deceptive desires.

6. The old man is all that one was before we were converted, all that he was as the son of Adam.

7. No one better than you, so that you know what you have to say goodbye to, to say goodbye to your old life and start with the new Master.

8. Nicodemus being a rich Pharisee, teacher in Israel member of the Sanhedrin (assembly or council of sages, they did the function of judge) calls Jesus Master, because he made the decision to learn from Jesus and be able to forget all his self (knowledge, flesh, position) and leaves the whole of his life to be a disciple of Jesus, his didn't fill him.

9. The deceptive desires in our lives as a son of Adam are corrupted as a result of yielding to "deceitful" and evil longings that give promises of pleasure, but "with frustrations when they have been consummated."

10. As far as his position in Christ is concerned, the believer's "old man" was crucified and buried with Christ.

11. In practice, the believer should consider him dead.

12. We have stripped ourselves of the "old man once and for all."

13. Do not drag on your feet what is already dead, the smell that comes out lets you see the old creature.

14. (23) Another lesson the Ephesians learned at Jesus' feet was that they were being "renewed in the spirit of their minds."

15. Their minds are in vanity.

16. Minds are darkened (darkness), oblivious to God's life by the ignorance they have about God and their hearts were hard, they gave themselves over to impurity.

17. Renewed in the spirit of your mind, this signal "a total turn in your way of thinking."

18. "A change from mental impurity to holiness."

19. The Spirit of God influences mental processes to lead to reasoning from the way God sees it, not from that of the unsaved.

20. (24) This lesson was that they had "put on once and for all 'the new man.'

21. "The new man" is what the believer is in Christ.

22. You are no longer yours; you are Christ's.

23. It is the new creation, in which old things passed and all things have been made new. (2 Corinthians 5:17)

24. This "new" type of "man" is in the likeness of God, that is, created in conformity to Him (equal, in conformity).

25. And it manifests itself in the justice and sanctity of truth.

26. Justice here is righteousness and means righteous conduct toward others.

27. Holiness is piety (the virtue that provokes devotion to everything that is related to holy matters and is guided by the love that is felt towards God) towards God, who gives Him His rightful place.

28. In life to be able to conquer you cannot have mixture.

29. My dear and dearly loved: you are or are not, you have or are scarce, you conquer, or you are conquered.

30. In the believer, the one who sanctifies himself, the one who becomes pious, that devotion to all that is life with God, that love he feels for God becomes a fighter and the one who fights overcomes and obtains from God and overcomes his flesh.

31. Holiness of truth, truth requires that you sanctify yourself.

32. You can never be in the truth if you do not choose to sanctify yourself.
