The Inseparable Christ

The Inseparable Christ - Mark 16:14-18 On Sunday evening, Jesus visits His disciples. Jesus rebukes them because they refused to accept reports of His resurrection from others. He told them that they are unbelievers and have hardness of heart, the reason, they did not believe Him. (Luke 24:41) He said to them, "Do you have anything here to eat?" They gave Him part of a roast fish and a honeycomb; He took them and ate them in front of them. Now simple, what they perhaps did not understand, nor knew, of what the prophets said had already been fulfilled. Now resurrected and willing to continue to teach them the reason why He was inseparable from them. (Luke 24:45) Jesus opened their understanding "to understand the Scriptures." That is why He is inseparable from your life.

I. (Luke 24:49) It was necessary for them to be invested with power from on high.

A. The Christ never separates Himself from your life.

1. (Matthew 28:20) "Teaching" them to obey all that He had taught them.

2. Let them keep all He has commanded them.

3. They were commanded to make disciples, baptizing them.

4. They will preach (Mark 16:15-16): Those who believe will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.

5. The commission goes beyond evangelism; It's not enough to make them convert and let them fend for themselves.

6. (Matthew 28:20) The Savior added a promise of "His presence" with His disciples until the end "of the age" (on earth).

7. They would not go out alone or without help.

8. In all my services and travels they would know the fellowship of the "Son of God."

9. (John 10:27-28) And I give eternal life to My sheep.

10. A life that will last forever.

11. It is a life that has the ability to enjoy the things of God here on earth and a life that will be equally appropriate for our heavenly home.

12. "They will never perish."

13. Christ is God and cannot err.

14. He has promised in this verse that no sheep of His will ever spend eternity in hell.

15. He who lives in Jesus will never want the world.

16. Follow the Good Shepherd.

17. We do not live the Christian life to become Christians or to retain our salvation.

18. We live a Christian life because we "are" Christians.

19. We desire to live a holy life not out of fear of losing our salvation, but out of gratitude to the One who died for us.

20. The doctrine of eternal security does not encourage careless living, but on the contrary is an intense motive "for holy living."

21. No one can "snatch" a believer from the "hand" of Christ.

22. His hand is omnipotent (it can do everything).

23. He created the world and right now He is sustaining it. (hold, maintain, endure).

24. There is no power that can "snatch" a sheep from His subjection.

25. (John 15:4) Remain: it means staying where you are.

26. The Christian, is, has been put in Christ; This is your position.

27. In daily walking we should remain in intimate communion with the Lord.

28. A "branch" remains on the vine taking all its life and food from the vine.

29. Thus, we remain in Christ, "spending time in prayer," reading and obeying His Word, communing with His people, and continually being aware of our union with Him.

30. By maintaining constant contact with Him in this way, we are aware of His dwelling in us and His supply (provision) of spiritual strength and resources.

31. The "branch" can only bear fruit if it remains on the vine.

32. The only way believers can bear fruit of a Christian character is by living constantly in contact with Christ.

33. (John 17:23) Let us be perfect in unity: "I in them and You in Me."

34. "The world" will not only realize that Jesus was God the Son, but it will also know that believers are loved by God.

35. That You have loved them (us) as well as You have loved Me.

36. That we are loved like this seems incredible, but there it is!

37. (Romans 8:38-39) The apostle has not finished his search.

38. He now plunders the entire universe in search of something conceivable of that can separate us from God's love and then eliminates the possibilities one by one:

a. "Death" with all its terrors.

b. Life with all the seductions.

c. Angels and principalities, supernatural in power and knowledge.

d. The powers, whether human tyrants or angelic adversaries.

e. The present, which harasses and overwhelms us.

f. What’s to come, which arouses (provokes, causes) in us frightening premonitions (feeling, intuition of a future fact).

g. (V. 39) Neither the high nor the deep, those things that are in the realm of space, dimensions, including the occult forces.

h. Nor any created thing, to ensure that nothing is left.

39. The result of Paul's research is that he cannot find anything that can "separate us from the love of God," which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

40. So that you know how far God is in your life: the whole.
