The blessing of the saints remain in our hearts

"The blessing of the saints remain in our hearts" 2 Corinthians 9:8 Our dear Paul speaks to the Corinthians about the promise that if someone really wants to be generous, God will take care that they receive the opportunity to do so. God is who gives the generous so that he can have to give. Here the term grace is used as a synonym for resources. Paul says: God is mighty to "supply" us with "resources" so that we not only have "all enough" for ourselves, but so that we can share with others what we have and thus abound "for every good work."

I. Paul's prayer for the apostle (Philippians 1:3-5)

A. Praying with joy for all.

1. Now Paul (impetus, with force or violence of pain, passion) bursts into a song of praise.

2. But this is nothing new for the apostle.

3. The walls of the prison in Philippi had already echoed the songs of Paul and Silas on their first visit there.

4. As he writes these words, he is probably imprisoned in Rome, but he continues to sing "midnight songs."

5. The indomitable Paul!

6. In his charged life of prison, chains, whipping, hunger, nakedness, thirst, sleeplessness, cold, etc. for love of the church, his love for God and establishing miracles in all his life for the welfare of the churches.

7. In (v. 4) all his prayers he "prayed" with joy for the Philippians.

8. For him it is a pure delight to pray for them, not a heavy routine.

9. (Numbers 6:24-26) Aaron and his sons blessed the people.

10. "Here is a blessing that can go to everyone and can be given all the time without impoverishment. Every heart can express it: it is the Word of God: each letter can conclude with it; Every day can start with it; Every night can be sanctified with it. Here is blessing, care, radiance, an elevation of our poor life in the joyful morning of heaven. It is the Lord Himself who brings us this verse of music from the infinite hymns of heaven. Moody

11. And it was put in the mouths of the priests.

12. (Romans 15:13) Paul concludes this section with a grace-filled blessing by praying that the God who gives good hope through grace will fill the saints with all joy and peace as they believe in Him.

13. (Psalm 121:8) Jehovah will guard our way out and our entry from now on and forever.

14. (3 John 1:2) A blessing sent by John to Gaius.

15. John prays for Gaius, the beloved, that he may prosper in all things, may be healthy, as his soul has grown; it is a blessing to Gaius, from the elder John.

16. (Philippians 4:19) Because the Philippians had given of their material resources to God, to the point of jeopardizing their own provision, God was to "provide" for all their needs.

17. It is a specific promise of the faithful and devout in their offerings to Christ, they will never lack what is necessary.

18. (Deuteronomy 1:11) Moses gives this blessing: Jehovah God of our fathers will do you a thousand times more than you are now and bless you as He has promised!

19. This blessing is upon the people of Israel at this time.

20. (2 Corinthians 13:14) Here we have one of the most beautiful blessings in the New Testament and "the only one" that includes the three members of the Godhead. (Trinity)

21. Lenoki: With the image of the great apostle extending his hands over the Corinthians with his deep New Testament blessing, "his voice sinks into silence." "But the blessing remains upon our hearts."

22. Paul is gone, but the blessing came from heaven and remains in our lives.

23. Depending on His surveillance, we can say goodbye to all the vain confidences of the world.

24. "That God always keep us, may He root (take root, make firm and lasting) deep in our hearts": saying goodbye to all vain trusts and expecting God's blessing alone.
