"Pleasing God What We Ought to Know"- Deuteronomy 30:10b-20 When we convert to God with all our heart and with all our soul. There is only one simple thing to do: to obey and to see the simplicity and ease with which God works with fallen man on earth. Nothing is complicated when we come to the Lord, the complicated thing is the sad fallen nature. It is a mind damaged with vanity, rebellion, hatred, strife, envy, other things that accumulate in the mind.

I. Moses tells them to hurry to "obey."

A. Attend to the simplicity and ease of the commandment.

1. Who makes the thing impossible is man, who has a damaged mind with what he wants, it is your problem is not the truth, "the truth" has been given by God.

2. We should never, but never, have what we should do in His commandments, ever doubt, everything is said by the voice of God Himself in the Scriptures.

3. "It's not too difficult."

4. The people of Israel could never plead, to excuse disobedience and in the time of grace as well.

5. God never gives us commandments that we cannot keep or understand.

6. Nothing God expects of our lives is outside of everyday life: Ex: God commands us to love as you love yourself.

7. It is not too high (V. 11) for you as well as for you to have to send messengers to Heaven, to investigate, to examine what we must do to please God, nor do you need to "go to the other side of the sea (V. 12) or to another country; it is easy to know what each of us have to do, let us not seek what for others are successful, God is simple to educate us and carry us, the complicated ones are us because of what we have in the brain.

8. For our lives a greater privilege, because, in addition to that, our heart is the abode of the Trinity and Deity (John 14:17, 23).

9. Moses concludes (ends) now with a very bright light and with a very burning fire, so that, if possible, everything he has said may have entry into the understanding and into the heart of this hardened people.

10. (V. 15) "I have set before you" the way to obtain all the good you desire and avoid "all the misery you fear", walk not in yourself, but in what God has told you.

11. Brother: Obey and everything will be fine, without missing a thing.

12. In our humanity we are moved and governed in our actions by one of two great forces: "hope" or fear.

13. You decide: The hope of obtaining good and the fear of being caught by evil.

14. Now (V. 16-18) Moses said to them: if you want to be attracted to obey by the sure hope of thus obtaining great advantages: that you may live and be multiplied, and Jehovah your God bless you in the land into which you enter to take possession of it.

15. Or be constrained (forced) to obey by the no less certain ruin in case you disobey.

16. (V. 17) “If the heart departs and thou shalt not hear."

17. They will have no excuse for defense.

18. Then they will perish (come to an end); you will not prolong (let it last longer) days on the earth that you will be, passing the Jordan, to be in it.

19. How long could they live?

20. Now he who moves away, his days are cut off from the earth they love so much.

21. Now Moses gives them a choice: life and death, blessing and curse; choose, then, life, that you and your descendants may live.

22. When you decide the mundane, you make your children get lost just like you, you take a curse instead of the blessing of the sovereign God.

23. He who prefers darkness to light. (Psalm 3:8, John 3:19)

24. The Jewish rabbis have a maxim that says: Everything is in God's hands, except the fear of God must be willed by man.

25. And another Jewish maxim (principle, rule) says: To submit our will to the will of our Father who is in Heaven is the great goal of man's life on earth: Will it be your goal on earth? (The end to which you want to reach the goal you intend to achieve. (John 4:34).

26. It is true that, without grace, we can do nothing (John 15:5), but it is also true that, without our collaboration, grace becomes sterile. (1 Corinthians 15:10).

27. Moses tells them, in a few words, what their duty is: to love God; to love Him as "the God who is Lord of all and the 'kindest' of all; and love Him as their God, their covenant God: "He is life to thee and prolongation of thy days. Amen.
