That is needed

"That is needed" - 1 Kings 8:16-28 We must understand that we are responsible for our actions. Maybe you live and die and that's where your life stays, pleasing you, all to yourself. You don't think about anyone else. Worse, you don't care that your life is necessary on Earth. Every human being who does not do what needs to be done, someone will have to do it and such a person will be in double duty of what needs to be done here on earth.

I. Necessary as opposed to voluntary = to render a service or perform work of one's own free will, without being obliged.

A. You are necessary, you are indispensable for something.

1. Your function is the action and effect of functioning.

2. When you can't do what you must do, then you have a malfunction and spoiled what you were born to do.

3. Everything in life has a function, you exist for something.

4. Action = comply; effect = result, impact it produces.

5. Two harlots, taken to the monarch, was a difficult case.

6. They lived in the same house, had given birth to a son each, with an interval of two days (on the third day) between the two births.

7. One of them inadvertently lay on her son and killed him; When she realized this, she exchanged it at night for the other's; But as soon as the other got up, she realized the fraud, so she came to the king to claim her right to the living child.

8. The difficulty of the case: Who is the real mother of the living child?

9. They both showed the same interest in him.

10. Neither of them wants to recognize the dead child as their own, even though it was cheaper to bury the dead than to keep the living alive, (they were free-living women) but it is for the living that they contend.

11. The king's sentence in this case.

12. After he had listened "patiently" (the necessary) (the one that is needed; the indispensable; action and effect; fulfill; effect = the result and impact it produces) what they both said, how much they talked before the king, after summarizing the conclusion of the judgment.

13. How necessary each person is, in the place of human need, for his service on earth.

14. Solomon asked for "a sword" and gave the order that the living child should be split in half and half given to each of the contenders.

15. With this simple proposal, the truth was clearly revealed.

16. Although Solomon could have discerned by his wisdom who was the mother of the living child, but the truth is that he subjected both to a test that it could not fail: (1 Kings 3:2427) She who knew that the living child was not hers, but kept her right for honor, selfesteem, dignity, was content to have the partition take place. (B) But the real mother, rather than see the child torn to pieces; she preferred it to be given to the other woman.

17. As her natural feelings show by the cry, "Ah, my lord, give this one the living child, and do not kill him."

18. It was as if to say, "Let me see him alive in her arms, rather than see him dead."

19. With these tender expressions it was clear that she was the true mother of the living child.

20. As "necessary" as Solomon had been there, at that moment no one better than him.

21. The sentence was very easy for Solomon: "Give her the living son and do not kill him: she is his mother."

22. For us to be "necessary" in life, that we are indispensable, that function.

23. When Solomon showed that he was "necessary" to the people, the people rested on much good, because he gave action and effect: action = fulfill; effect=result.

24. Solomon acquired a great reputation for his great wisdom that was manifested in him, the people needed him, so he showed his wisdom; and they feared (respected, obeyed) the king, because they saw that there was in him the wisdom of God (that is, very great) to judge.

25. Until you see that you are necessary, that you are needed, you are indispensable (it is considered so necessary that it cannot be dispensed with or cannot be ignored).

26. In your mind you think that you are not the best or that you are never needed: you have never asked yourself: Am I necessary?

27. In God I am necessary, not voluntary. Amen
