"The Righteous Paul's Prayer for the Church" - Ephesians 3:15-19 Paul prays for the saints with the great wisdom that God gives him. The Gentiles, those who had come into being by union with Christ. Paul bends his knees before the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. This union with Christ is not a merit of ours. It is that our Savior, His body was smashed, destroyed in pain, anguish, humiliated, mocked, despised, ridiculed, crushed, disfigured, bloodied, betrayed, left alone with all our sins on a stake (the cross), left (Matthew 27:46) cried out with a loud voice, with force: Why have you forsaken me? In an instant He is separated from the force of God. Such is the sacrifice of our Lord, He blames Himself for all our evil, so that you may be clean: I say, and can He be betrayed? Yes, they do.

I. Paul bends his knees to the Father for the saints.

A. He from whom all kindred in heaven and earth takes its name. (Ephesians 3:15)

1. That all the redeemed in heaven and on earth look upon Him as "Head of the Household."

2. That all created beings, angelic and human, owe their existence to Him not only as individuals, but also as families.

3. The families in heaven include the various grades of angelic creatures.

4. The families on earth are the different races that arise from Noah and are now divided among the various nations.

5. All fatherhood in the universe derives (birth, proceeding) to be His name.

6. The Fatherhood of God is the original and ideal.

7. From whom all fatherhood, earthly or heavenly, derives its name.

8. Someone comments (16) on this verse: (amazed, astonished to look quietly, rejoicing in the vision, for a long time amazed); We cannot help but be astonished at the magnitude of Paul's request: That it is from, according to the riches of His glory.

9. With an abundance in proportion (harmony, conformity) to the riches of His glory: not "according to the" narrowness of "our hearts."

10. A rich person might give a negligible amount; it would be of his riches; but not "conforming" (agreeing, according to, according) to them.

11. Paul asks God to give "according to the riches" of His perfections.

12. Since the Lord is infinitely rich in glory, let the saints prepare for a flood!

13. Why should we ask so little of such a great King?

14. The request is that we be (invigorated, strong, robust) strengthened with power in the inner man through His Spirit.

15. The blessing sought is "spiritual power."

16. Not the power to perform spectacular miracles, but the spiritual vigor (strength) necessary to be "mature," stable, intelligent Christians.

17. Let us not think that what we do is great, preach, sing; It is when our faces are seen that we mature spiritually, when we are stable (permanent, enduring, firm), and intelligent in divine wisdom.

18. You are because you think that you are important in what you can, your expectations are: what is seen of you, what you command, what you do in the Church, etc.

19. In the "interior" man through His Spirit.

20. The One who imparts this power is the "Holy Spirit".

21. Naturally, He can give us strength only as we feed on the word of God, "as long as we breathe the pure air of prayer," and so much as we exercise ourselves "in daily service for the Lord."

22. Don't ask, don't do where you are the one who shines, leave God great in your life by giving Him glory and thanksgiving for all He has done for you.

23. This power is to experience in the inner man, that is, in the spiritual part of our nature.

24. (Romans 7:22) What I am inside (where no one sees you) I delight in God's law, purity, holiness to Him.

25. In your sanctification for your good, because you will have peace, I do not despair of being great, preaching, doing great things that you think, sitting in the first chair.

26. It is "the inner man" that is renewed every day, even though the outer man "is wearing out" (2 Corinthians 4:16).

27. Although it is from God, our "inner man" needs strength, growth, and development.

28. In what we need to do: strength, growth and development.

29. Let us not be spiritual children, let us be adults through holiness and maturity.

30. When you want things that appear to be spiritual, vanity is the one that needs to be recognized.

31. Jesus went to the cross, He was silent as long as He could so as not to have to see everything that was coming upon Him: "Take this cup from Me."

32. Do not seek what is not there, seek what the Sacred Scriptures teach for their "mere children." Amen.
