Do What You Must Do in a Hurry - 2 Kings 4:8-17 An important woman of Shunem showed such great hospitality to Elisha that she went so far as to build him a small chamber in "her house." When the prophet offered her a position or some favor from the king, she humbly expressed her pleasure in simply living amid her people. Gehazi, the servant of the prophet suggested that she had no son and this suggestion was made true by the word of the prophet. By the following spring she would have a child in her arms.

I. The child dies (2 Kings 4:20)

A. The miracle is gone, it takes haste.
