"Our Eye on The Goal of Our Journey" - Matthew 6:22-23 Jesus saw that it would be difficult for His followers to see how it could work. His unconventional teaching on security for the future. So, this analogy (likeness, or) of the human eye teaches a lesson about spiritual perception (interpretation of information, understanding signals).

I. He said that "the eye" is "the lamp of the body."

A. It is through the eye that the body receives illumination and can see.

1. "If your eye is healthy," your whole body is flooded with light.

2. If your eye is evil, then "vision is damaged."

3. Now we must examine how our eyes look; it is not difficult to know.

4. Instead of light, there is "darkness." (lack of light).

5. Let's get it: The healthy eye belongs to the person who has pure motives (movement, reason, "the reason for something": a motive is what causes an action = to stop having a passive role to start doing something), who has a simple desire for God's interests, and who is willing to accept "literally" the teachings of Christ.

6. His whole life is full of light.

7. Believe the words of Jesus, you do not love the earthly, you are able to keep the treasures of heaven.

8. On the other hand, the evil eye will contaminate the whole body: heart, what it speaks, its actions, its desires.

9. What about the body that his eye is evil!

10. The teachings of Jesus seem impractical and impossible to him.

11. It lacks clear guidance, because it is full of darkness.

12. … but if your eye is evil, your whole body will be in darkness.

13. If the eye of the heart is simple, sincere, healthy and generous, it will be a luminous eye, directed towards God, holiness, goodness, righteousness; All life will be full of light.

14. (23) And if that eye be in darkness, the whole body, all life, "shall be in darkness."

15. The conduct of the body will be dark, sinful, wicked, ungodly.

16. All conduct will be corrupt.

17. It is double vision: one eye on God, and the other on the world.

18. We must keep an eye on the goal of our journey.

II. (Matthew 5:29-30) Maintaining an uncontaminated "mental life" requires strict selfdiscipline.

1. So, Jesus taught that if any part of our body causes us to sin, it would be better to lose our eyes during life than to lose our soul for all eternity.

2. The eye is the gateway in and out of a great deal of evil from this matter. (27-30).

3. Why do we have the covering of the eyes, which are the eyelids, if not to curb the looks of corruption and leave out the polluting impressions?

4. To avoid occasions of sin, to resist every temptation "in its beginnings" and to "flee" from the "company" of those who can make us fall into the snare of seduction, no matter how pleasant their friendship may be to us.

5. Keep a constant watch over the movements of our heart to take away, to avoid occasions of sin.

6. (Galatians 5:16) Let us walk in the Spirit, and thus do not satisfy the desires of the flesh!

7. For it is equivalent to rendering our old man inoperative.

8. Beware of the passions of the flesh, which are so brutally bestial, that they can only be treated possessed of fear, the only way: but (Matthew 6:23) if your eye is evil, "your whole body will be full of darkness.

9. What about you!

10. Those who put their souls "at risk of eternal ruin" rather than deprive themselves of the satisfactions that evil brings, do not know what "hell" is or do not believe in it.

11. Moreover, we can assure that the contempt or neglect of virtue (strength, courage, good, right, doing well and rightly) (moral, considered good) is since most people (even among believers) "are not convinced that there is a perfect equation (equality= (same nature, uniformity) between holiness and happiness. Amen
