We, His servants, will arise

"We, His servants, will arise" – Nehemiah 2:10-20 Two men of God, Ezra and Nehemiah, built because those enemies had no part or right or memory in Jerusalem. These men sought the good for the children of Israel. Those who wanted to destroy them; came two good men brave, risky and above all with a passion that produced strength, courage and great love.

I. King Artaxerxes gives Nehemiah permission.

A. Nehemiah was overflowing with compassion, sorrow for the enslavement of those who were his people.

1. The king prepares Nehemiah very well with everything in abundance as God directed him in abundance as Jehovah Jireh.

2. Because it is God who will provide.

3. The enemies wanted ruin, misery, misfortune, scourge, poverty, and then mockery, "such are enemies," and thus be able to trample, to outwit the precious work of Almighty God.

4. Army captains and horsemen, not only to defend him, but to honor him (respect, distinguish, show respect).

5. They receive him with very little interest, perhaps he was not interested; he knew very well what he was going for, but he deserved honor; he was the king's cupbearer, who took care that he was not poisoned.

6. He doesn't explain to them, he just waits three days, it doesn't seem that any of the city's principals came, or it may be that he knew what he had to do.

7. Nehemiah most certainly noticed them and the state they were in.

8. He gets up at night, he and a few men went to take a look at the ruins, at what God had put in his heart to do in Jerusalem.

9. The purpose was to know what was to be done and how to do it.

10. Brother, I must see the deterioration, so that I can know what the remedy is.

11. (16) When he discovered his goal to them, both the rulers and the people enthusiastically joined him.

12. He did not give an account of what he was going to do.

13. After pressing (push) the feelings of leaders and people, he told them what God had placed in his heart, (12) that is, to build the wall of Jerusalem.

14. He alone could not carry out the work; nor did he want to impose his authority, although he had a commission (assignment, mission, mandate, order) from the king, but he exhorted them in a fraternal way to cooperate with him.

15. (18) To encourage them: (a) He tells them that the initiative is of the grace of God; it is clear that they came from Jerusalem with bad news that they were in great evil and reproach, the wall of Jerusalem broken down and its gates burned with fire; "I heard these words and sat down and wept, this pain led me to mourning (pain) and the king was pleased to send him, although it was not what he wanted.

16. That it was the hand of God, that its execution (performance) was due to the providence of God, who had inclined the king's heart to show himself favorable and to grant him at once what he asked of him.

17. So, they said, Let us rise and build.

18. And so, they exerted each other's hands to do this good work.

19. The enemies of the Jews, Sanballat (Horonite) and Tobiah, an Ammonite by birth, with Geshem, the Arab chief under whose jurisdiction the Edomites were, when they saw a Jew coming armed with a commission from the king of Persia in the service of Israel, "became very angry and tried by all means to prevent the work from prospering," but in vain, No one stops His work.

20. The God of heaven, He will prosper us.

21. We, His servants, will arise.

22. Ezra and Nehemiah, Ezra begins, and Nehemiah follows.

23. "The people were united," which is a requirement for God to send His blessing. Amen.
