Be glad and be thankful

"Be glad and be thankful" - Psalm 138:6 The sin that seems small leads us to commit others. For this reason, the misery of the flesh must be overcome, because it must lead the body to dishonesty (an act outside the rule is voluntarily performed). Corruption is the sin that, instead of being recognized as such and making us humble, is elevated as a system (method, plan, procedure, rules), becomes a mental habit, a way of life, where it is made easy for such as have fallen into such a condition. God save us by His mercies.

I. Pride, "arrogance" is an esteem (value) and love inhibited by itself.

A. It consists of an uncontrolled appreciation (pricing) of one's own value.

1. You know? That is when attention and honor are intensely sought.

2. (Proverbs 16:18) God does not like pride and warns us that its fruit is destruction.

3. Pride is followed by destruction, haughtiness, by "failure."

4. It destroys friendships, families, and destroys our dependence on God.

5. Our attitudes must be one of humility, of appreciation for those around us. (Romans 12:3); "Let no one have a higher self-concept than he ought to have, but rather think of himself sparingly."

6. (Psalm 139:6) The greatest example of humility is found in Jesus, and He must be our model in everything.

7. Jesus was willing to "humble himself" for our sake" and "die on the cross to give us salvation."

8. We must let His love transform us and flow through our lives so that He will receive all the glory.

9. (Philippians 2:5-8) Your attitude should be like that of Christ Jesus, who, being by nature God, did not regard equality with God as something to cling to. It would have been proper to Him. On the contrary, He "humbled Himself," emptied Himself, willingly lowered Himself, taking on the nature of a servant and becoming like human beings (like you). And, in manifesting Himself as a man, "He humbled Himself" and became obedient unto death" and death on the Cross. What do you think of yourself? You dare or never... you would.

10. Envy (James 3:16) Envy or jealousy is a disordered desire to possess what others have.

11. It consists of great sadness or regret for the good of others and "joy in the face of their setbacks".

12. Envy or jealousy is an inordinate desire to possess what others have.

13. Envy brings dissension (quarrel) and discord (opposition).

14. For where there is envy and rivalry, there is also confusion and all kinds of wickedness; contention = contention, dispute between several; disturbance = upset, disorder, madness, bewilderment; perverse work = bad, wicked, extremely bad) it is better to run from such a place, no matter how much you want to say they are perverse works of such people; Escape for your life.

15. Many times, we can be tempted by envy when we see "others succeed" or be "recognized" and worse feel ignored.

16. That's where the seed of envy and jealousy begins to be planted.

17. We need to be alert and steadfast to the Lord so that we don't give in or fall into their trap.

18. Our attitude changes when we are filled with the Holy Spirit.

19. (Romans 12:15) "Rejoice with those who rejoice; Weep with those who mourn."

20. That's the key!

21. First, let's learn to be happy and satisfied with all that God has given us.

22. Then ask God to transform our hearts so that we can feel genuine joy in seeing the accomplishments of others.

23. Greed (Matthew 6:24) You cannot serve God and use illicit means to get riches.

24. Greed is the excessive desire to obtain material goods and wealth, being willing, if necessary, to use illicit means to obtain them.

25. God provides us with everything we need, we must be satisfied with His provision.

26. Greed grows when we take God off the throne of our hearts and place dissatisfaction and the desire to have more.

27. No one can serve two masters, for he will despise the one and love the other, or he will love one very much and despise the other.

28. To avoid greed, we need to decide who will be the owner of our heart.

29. (1 Timothy 6:8-10) We overcome greed with gratitude for God's provision.

30. Let us keep ourselves free from the love of money and be content with what you have, for God has said, (Hebrews 13:5) "I will never leave you; I will never forsake you."

31. We must trust that God's provision is and "always will suffice," be content and be thankful.

32. Anger = is the feeling of great annoyance that leads us to behave in a cruel and violent way. (James 1:19-20). The cause can be real or apparent, but the feeling is so strong that it often "clouds reason" and prevents differentiation (discernment, distinguishing, spreading) (understanding).

33. The Bible does not forbid us to be angry.

34. Anger is a good emotion in circumstances such as injustice, abuse, or oppression prompting us to contribute to prevent that situation from continuing.

35. The Bible does forbid letting anger turn into destructive and irrational "anger."

36. In Ephesians 4:26-27, "If you are angry, do not sin."

37. Do not allow your anger to last until sunset; as if to say, "you live angry with humanity, leave the anger forever, you cannot live angry with what you have lived, as they say; Get over it.

38. Nor let the devil be accommodated, in your anger that you do not overcome, he is called.

39. We see that there is a level of anger, "ire," that is sinful, and we should not allow it to dominate us, for it opens a door to the influence of the devil.

40. (James 1:19-20) When anger takes over, we lose sight of God's presence and forget that we can trust Him.

41. "We want to take justice into our own hands" and "make the other person 'pay' and 'get what they deserve."

42. "But it shouldn't be like that."

43. We must always trust in God's justice and "do what is good and pleasing in His sight."

44. (Romans 12:19-21) We cannot have a polluted heart; it is better to have mercy and if someone hurts me then I keep such a distance and I take care not to hurt him myself.

45. But he who proclaims himself our enemy, if he is hungry and I can feed him, I give him food; if it is thirsty I give him water.

46. Such acts that you show will make him feel loved by you, even if there is distance.

47. Christ taught us, let us not be overcome by the devil, for then we will have no peace.

48. You overcome evil with your good.

49. Lust (1 Corinthians 6:18-20) All areas of our lives should show that Jesus is our Lord.

50. When Jesus enters our hearts, He "transforms the way we see everything," including our bodies.

51. We realize that our body belongs to God; for this reason, we take care of our walk, which you show Him.

52. God gave Himself so that we might live in His divine steps.

53. Let us honor God with our bodies.

54. (6) Gluttony (Proverbs 23:1) is gluttony, an uncontrolled appetite for food and drink.

55. (Proverbs 23:19-21) It does not consider economic limits or the damage it may cause to health.

56. This is another sin that harms our body.

57. Gluttony affects "our health", "our finances" and surely our relationship with others.

58. It separates us from God, from our loved ones because we focus on eating or drinking instead of seeking to resolve our conflicts and problems, dialoguing and asking God for wisdom.

59. If we are filled with God and see our problems or "our appearance as He sees them," we will take refuge in Him and not in food or drink.

60. Laziness (Romans 12:11) Laziness is an unbalanced fondness (attraction, inclination, taste) of rest and leisure, "which leads to neglect of God, of oneself, and of society."

61. The lazy person withdraws from others physically and emotionally, because he only wants his own rest and well-being (Proverbs 6:9-11) describes it like this: "Lazy one", how much longer will you stay in bed?

62. When will you wake up from your dream?

63. A short sleep, a short nap, a little rest, with your arms folded... And you will be assailed by poverty like a bandit and scarcity like an armed man!

64. God has given everyone skills, gifts that we must use to work, to sustain ourselves and our families, and to contribute to society.

65. God puts desires in our hearts and gives us the tools to fulfill them.

66. "We must be diligent" in discovering and using those abilities He has given us.

67. It is a way of showing gratitude and appreciation to God for His design in us; Don't complain! Amen.
