Your Good Spirit

"Your Good Spirit" - Nehemiah 9:20 God gives abundance to His people; provision (supply) for the people (15). You gave him bread from heaven in their hunger, and in their thirst, You drew water from the rock; and to keep their hearts high, the promise that they would come into possession of the land of Canaan. Food and drink throughout the trip and good land. You supported them forty years in the wilderness; and sent Your good Spirit to teach them; His people were educated, students, knowledgeable with the Holy Spirit.

I. (Luke 12:12) What should I do in circumstances (situation) in our lives?

A. What to say, speak or answer in life, for the good Spirit, to do in us what we need.

1. (11-12) When we are accused, when we are in trouble, unwanted, difficult circumstances, and not knowing what to do, then we will learn today.

2. (11) When you are being attacked for Christ.

3. If God has the good to honor the martyr with martyrdom, it will be for His glory.

4. If our hour has not come, He will bring us forward without us suffering any harm.

5. What you have to say; to question ourselves as enemies usually do, because there will be no reason to be perplexed (confused, uncertain), "because the Holy Spirit will teach you at that very hour what should be said."

6. The Spirit "of truth", of wisdom and knowledge, and He will suggest to us what is to be said and how to say it, so that our testimonies may serve to honor God and His cause.

7. The Spirit will do when there are clean, sanctified hearts and spiritual beings because you must live full of the Holy Spirit, because you are a sanctified person, not carnal.

8. And it is a general promise given to all of God's people that if they walk in the Spirit, they will receive the right words to say at critical moments in life.

9. (John 14:26) He will teach you all things.

10. The Holy Ghost will reveal more to them.

11. He was sent by the Father in Christ's "name" on the day of Pentecost.

12. The Spirit came in Christ's "name" in the sense that He came to represent Christ's "interests" for which He gave Himself on the cross, "on earth."

13. He would teach you all things, said the Lord.

14. He did this first through the spoken ministry of the apostles; then, by the written Word of God that we have today.

15. The Holy Ghost brings remembrance of "all that" the Savior "has taught".

16. In fact, the Lord Jesus seems to have presented in germinal form (seed, first) all the teaching written by the disciples that is developed in the rest of the New Testament by the Holy Spirit.

17. (1 Corinthians 2:13) The Apostle Paul clearly states that, in communicating these truths to us, the apostles "did not" "use 'words' of their own choosing or words dictated 'by human wisdoms.'

18. They used the same words "that" the Holy Ghost taught them to use.

19. And so, we believe that the very words of Scripture, as found in the original autographs (signatures), were the very words of God and the Bible in its present form is fully as the Spirit has revealed it, for it is the Spirit who cares for it "today."

20. Accommodating the spiritual to the spiritual.

21. Paul is saying that the process of inspiration involves the communication of divine truth with words specially chosen for this purpose by the Holy Spirit.

22. Presenting spiritual truths with spiritual words.

23. (1 John 2:26-27) These tender, young believers in the Lord about false teachers as a warning.

24. He is not afraid of the result when he remembers that his readers had received "the anointing" from the Lord.

25. The anointing is the Holy Spirit, and here we learn that He "abides in you".

26. It means that the Christian does not need any teaching other than that found in the Word about God's truth.

27. (Ephesians 4:11) There is a need to teach the Word in preaching.

28. Some have need of additional truths, but John says here that no additional truths are needed.

29. With the Word of God in our hands and the Spirit of God in our hearts, we have everything we need for instruction in God's truth. Amen.
