A little faith

"A little faith" - Ephesians 3:16-17 Paul's request, as he bowed his knees before the Father, "From our Lord Jesus Christ, that He may give you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power in the inner man by His Spirit; so that Christ may dwell in our hearts through faith.

I. May Christ dwell through faith in our hearts.

A. By faith we are strengthened so that Christ may dwell.

1. Your faith makes Christ comfortable there, in the heart because of the faith acquired, which we activate the day that without knowing anything, that which is in oneself faith is activated.

2. And the more we are like Him, the more He will "settle in and feel totally at home in our hearts, because He is activated.

3. We enter the enjoyment of His dwelling place in us through faith.

4. It is a constant acknowledgment of His "accommodation in His home."

5. It is "through faith" that we "practice His presence."

6. (Hebrews 11:1) This chapter deals with the vision and abiding (steadfast duration) of faith.

7. It introduces us to Old Testament men and women who had a complete "spiritual vision" and who "endured terrible reproaches and sufferings" rather than renounce their faith.

8. Verse 1 is not really a formal definition of faith; rather, it is a description of what faith does in us.

9. Faith is trust in God's trustworthiness (assurance, credibility).

10. It is the conviction that what God says is true and that what He promises will be fulfilled.

11. He demands the surest evidence in the universe and finds it in the word of God.

12. It is not limited to possibilities but invades the realm of the impossible.

13. Someone has said: Faith begins where possibilities end.

14. If anything is possible, there is no glory to God in it.

15. (1 Peter 1:7) In the life of faith, difficulties and problems arise.

16. God tests our faith in the melting pot (where it is put to melt some matter at a very high temperature) to see if it is genuine; Difficulties are the nourishment "of faith".

17. (Hebrews 11:6) "Without faith it is impossible to please God."

18. No amount of good work can make up for a lack of "faith."

19. After all is said and done, when someone refuses to believe God, he is making Him a liar.

20. (1 John 5:4) "Faith overcomes the world."

21. The secret of victory over "the world".

22. What the world is, is a monster of temptation, always trying to turn us away from God and all that is eternal and trying to occupy us with what is temporal and carnal.

23. The people of this world are totally given to the things of time and the senses.

24. They have become victims of passing things.

25. When we come to God, faith comes out.

26. Only the man who "is born of God" truly "overcomes the world," because by "faith" he can rise above the perishable things of this world and contemplate things in their true (appreciate them in their true value) perspective, in itself "the eternal."

27. Thus, the one who truly overcomes the world is not the one who knows the most and claims to be strong, but the simple believer who realizes that the things that are seen are temporary and that the things that are not seen are the eternal ones.

28. (Romans 14:1) The weak in faith.

29. The one who has begun is weak.

30. He is the one who thinks that salvation is by some exercise that one can do.

31. You see things that need to be improved because you love and do not contend with things that have no value.

32. Remember that faith entered in him and is carrying him.

33. (1 Timothy 6:11) O man of God, flee from these things: we have brought nothing into this world, and surely, we can get nothing; neither money, nor house, nothing, some went astray (lost, did not forget where it is) because of the love of money, which some have coveted.

34. But you, O man of God, flee.

35. Timothy is here designated (to choose, to destine someone for a certain purpose, to choose) as a man of God; What are you, a designated man or a doll of life?

36. It is the one who decides to have a pious behavior (compassionate, benign).

37. Man of God – Timothy is to be a man of God, a man who makes men "think of God" and glorify (praise, exalt) God.

38. In his service for Christ, Timothy was to flee from conceit, impurity, foolish and hurtful covetousness.

39. He had to cultivate Christian character—the only thing he could take to heaven with him.

40. Here the elements (ingredient, piece) of Christian character are given as righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, and meekness.
