If there is no faith, there can be no miracles

"If there is no faith, there can be no miracles" - Matthew 9:27-30 To believe in Christ is to have the conviction that He is who the Bible says He is. That He will keep His promises. That He will do what He has promised. And to have a personal and eternal relationship with the "Son of God." To believe, to have for certain. Be confident. It is trust, obedience and surrender: Like Abraham, who when he heard what God asked of him, put it into practice.

I. To believe, to be certain without knowing it directly.

A. Even if it is not proven or demonstrated, confidence.

1. The blind men begged to restore their sight.

2. Although they did not possess natural vision, these men had deep spiritual discernment.

3. Addressing Jesus as "the Son of David, they recognized Him as the long-awaited 'Messiah' and as the rightful King of Israel."

4. (Isaiah 61:1) To preach good news to the downcast, to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives.

5. And they knew that when the Messiah came, one of His credentials would be that He would heal the sick and the desolate.

6. When Jesus tested their faith by asking them if they believed He could "do this" (give them sight) they answered without hesitation, "Yes, Lord."

7. The great giver of miracles.

8. The demand is that you believe Him.

9. (Matthew 9:29-30) Then the Great Healer "touched their eyes" and assured them that because they "believed, they would see"; you must believe so that you will see the miracles that the Lord wants to do here on earth.

10. Immediately their eyes became completely normal.

11. It says: "If I don't see it, I don't believe it."

12. God's voice says, "If you believe, you will see."

13. (John 11:40) Jesus said to Martha, "Have I not told you that if you believe, you will see?

14. (Hebrews 11:3): "By faith we understand."

15. If you don't have faith, you can't understand anything about life, much less the miracles of God that are there for you.

16. (1 John 5:13) The apostle John wrote: "These things I have written to you 'who believe..." "That ye may know."

17. "God is not pleased" "with the kind of faith" that requires a previous miracle (before).

18. He wants us to believe Him simply because He is God.

19. (Mark 5:34) When the alternatives are finished.

20. (Mark 5:33) Fearing and trembling, her fear and trembling, the reason was that she knew what had happened in her body and came to Jesus; she testified the great miracle.

21. Throwing herself at His feet, she made her first public confession of Jesus.

22. Healing and the great blessing of the salvation of the soul came to her (34).

23. (1 John 5:4-5) "Only the man who is 'born of God' truly 'overcomes the world,' because by faith he 'can rise' above the 'perishable' things of this world and contemplate things in their true perspective (the point of view from which a matter is considered or analyzed), the eternal.

24. Thus, the one who truly "overcomes the world" is not the great scientist, nor the great orator, knowledgeable about religion, but the simple believer who realizes "that the things that are seen are temporary," and that the "things that are not seen are eternal."

25. A contemplation of the glory of God in the face (face, countenance) of Jesus dissipates (comes to nothing) the glory of this world.

26. (1 John 5:5) As we have seen, the subject of this section is faith as proof of eternal life.

27. John just mentioned that "he who overcomes the world" is "who believes that Jesus is the Son of God," it is faith: Do you really know Jesus?

28. (Romans 14:23) As far as the weakest human is concerned, he does wrong if he eats something about which his conscience has scruples (reluctance, disgust, certain acts since he does not want to behave incorrectly).

29. His eating is not an act of "faith," that is, he has a bad conscience about it.

30. And it is a "sin" to violate one's conscience.

31. That which does not come from faith is sin.

32. If what he eats is condemned, because he does not do it with faith, and everything that does not come from faith, it is sin.

33. (Hebrews 11:6) Without faith it is impossible to please God.

34. No amount of good work can make up for a lack of "faith."

35. After all is said and done, when someone refuses to believe God, he is making Him a liar.

36. "He who does not believe God, has made Him a liar," tell me, and how can God be pleased with those who consider Him a liar?

37. Faith is the only thing that gives God the place "that corresponds to Him" and that also puts man in his proper place.

38. "It glorifies God exceedingly, because it shows that we have: more confidence in 'His' sight than in ours." (C.H. Macintosh).

39. Faith not only believes that God exists but trusts that He rewards those who seek Him.

40. There is nothing in God that makes it impossible for men to believe. God has nothing to make us doubt.

41. The difficulty lies in human will.

42. (James 1:3) James refers to "the trial of your faith."

43. It presents faith as a precious metal that is being tested by the Tuner (God) to see if it is genuine.

44. The metal is subjected to the fires of "persecution," "disease," sickness, or pain.

45. Without problems, we would never develop patience.

46. Even the men of the world realize that problems "strengthen" character.

47. (Charles Kettering, captain of industry said): Problems are the price of progress.

48. Don't bring me anything except trouble.

49. The good news weakens me.

50. (James 2:17) A faith without work is dead in itself.

51. A 'faith' without "works" is not true faith at all.

52. It's just a matter of words.

53. What James is emphasizing here is that we are not saved "by a faith of words alone”, but by that kind of faith that results in "a life of good works."

54. (Calvin) We are saved by faith alone, but not by a faith that stands alone, you need works. Pillars of our faith:

1. God is the Lord, the Almighty.

2. God is the Creator.

3. God intervenes in history.

4. God is just and merciful.

5. God loves me infinitely.

6. For He created me.

7. Faith is the full conviction that God is who He says He is and that He will do what He says. It is an unbreakable and unshakable certainty, which is based on His Word. Only God is sufficient as the object of our faith. So how can you live and overcome without faith? Amen
