God Has Blessed Us

"God Has Blessed Us" - Psalm 144:13-15 Happy to be God's people. Blessed indeed are the people whose God is Jehovah. There will be abundance in agriculture. The barns will be filled with "all sorts of" grain and other "fruits." The sheep will breed abundantly, until there are "flocks" of "tens of thousands" in the fields.

I. Do you know what this teaching means?

A. The oxen will procreate without problems, they will be "strong to work" and "carry large loads".

1. The expressions: "we have no assault, no way out" and "no cry of alarm in our squares".

2. That the country will be "free from foreign invaders," "that there will be no "forced migration into exile."

3. That there will be no demonstrations or noisy riots in the streets.

4. It is a picture of unparalleled happiness, that happiness that belongs to the "people" who recognize Jehovah as their "God."

5. (Genesis 24:35) Abraham's servant gives a brief summary of the situation of his master's family. (34-36).

6. Two things he indicates in recommending his proposal: (a) That his master Abraham, "through the blessing of God," has very good fortune; and: (b) That all of it would go to Isaac, his only son.

7. He tells them of the commission that his master had given him to find a wife for his son from among his relatives.

8. Jehovah had arranged everything.

9. (2 Samuel 6:11) David is to be upset (7) and God smote him there by the ark of God.

10. David is affected by God because he feels that God was now a danger to him.

11. We feel free to judge God because we "lack" a sense of God's "tremendous holiness and majesty."

12. The ark was the closest visible representation of "God Himself that existed until the coming of Jesus."

13. Uzzah neglected this.

14. His death was an enduring lesson, one to take God's glory seriously.

15. David complained to Jehovah against the solemn judgment and the temporary abandonment of his plan to bring "the ark ... to the city."

16. Instead, he put it in "the house of Obed-edom," perhaps near Jerusalem.

17. And Jehovah greatly "blessed" Obed-edom "and" his whole household during the "three months" that "the ark" was in his house.

18. (1 Kings 3:13) God appeared... to Solomon at Gibeon and asked him what he wanted most.

19. The king asked for an understanding heart for the great work of judging and leading the "people" of Israel.

20. This request "pleased" the Lord, and was granted, along with "riches and glory" as well as long life.

21. Solomon got what David left him plus all that he conquered and what the other kings brought him because of the great glory he had, his great wisdom and his great empire given by the same God who had given it to him.

22. (Psalm 65:9) You tend the soil and water it.

23. He is presented here to us as the gardener who goes about His garden, going round the earth and giving water to every plant that needs it, not in small quantities, but until the earth is soaked and saturated with a rich supply of refreshment.

24. The sun rises and sets regularly; The seasons follow one another with fidelity, and we accept all this as natural, however amazing it may be to all understanding, and good to the widest desires of the noblest human heart. a.) snow b.) spring c.) summer d.) autumn (everything falls apart).

25. God is intelligent, loving, and free; God rules (governs) everything and is above everything.

26. You prepare their grain.

27. Just as surely as the manna was prepared by God for the tribes, so the wheat we need for our daily use, He sends to us.

28. It is such a marvel that food rises from the earth as it falls from the heavens. C.H.S.

29. (Psalm 68:19) Each day He fills us with benefits (privileges, favor).

30. God's benefits are not few or light; they are many and enormous (gigantic, immense).

31. Nor are they intermittent but they come to us "daily".

32. While some may have more than others, everyone has their burden, "as much as they can carry."

33. God, to avoid excess, puts the amount that corresponds to us to take us safely to heaven, our longed-for port.

34. There are only three burdens that men receive from God: favors, precepts (command), and punishments.

35. He has embraced us in His everlasting love, which He has fashioned us anew, He has given us life by His Spirit, He has fed us with His word and clothed us with His merits (reward of good deeds), purchased by His blood, from being vile to glorious, from a curse to putting us on blessings; that He has given Himself for us, His Son for us, O the height, depth, and breadth of the rich mercies of our God!
