That He Might Fall

"That He Might Fall" - Psalm 118:13 If our adversaries can do this, they will have succeeded at will; If we fall into a grave sin, they will have satisfaction than if they had pierced our hearts with a murderous bullet, because a moral death is worse than physical death. If they can dishonor us and God through us, their victory will be complete. "Better death than to fail in faith."

I. Our enemy knows how to do his part well and very well.

A. Our enemy knows all your weaknesses.

1. Our enemy knows where your armor can't protect you.

2. And it will strike at the right time in the right place.

3. (Psalm 28:7) Jehovah is my strength and my shield.

4. If strength is added, in case the load is doubled, the strength is tripled and the load "will not be heavy", but lighter.

5. If we cannot "bear the burden in our own strength," why should we not be able to bear it in the strength of Jesus Christ?

6. Brother, stop the lament, the panics (very intense and manifest fear; to make something known this secret or hidden) you show your lack of belief that God is in control of everything we have to live.

7. Can we have the strength of Jesus Christ?

8. Yes, this same strength is given to us by faith and therefore "the strength of Christ is ours", which has passed to us; with our actions we do not want to shame Christ.

9. He is God Almighty.

11. Jehovah will think of me.

12. Do not make God look bad by distrusting Him, you lose and make Him look bad because of your lack of faith.

13. When God thinks of you, He knows perfectly well what your situation is, your dangers, your needs.

14. The one who thinks of you is a God who is near, not distant; "He has all the events under control; He is the God of all grace."

15. (Isaiah 41:10) Do not be dismayed, for I am your God who enforces you; I will always help you, I will always uphold you (hold up "lest" it not fall or twist).

16. God's "personal" love and concern for His own.

17. God brings a people to a place to be His servants; He assures them of His presence, relationship, help, and sustaining power in what must be one of the most beautiful verses in Isaiah.

18. "Do not be afraid."

19. It goes against God's intent for His people to be a "fearful people." (Dan)

20. We must depend on His presence among them as their God.

21. What can be feared by going hand in hand with God? (13:14)

22. (Isaiah 50:5, 9) "They will be eaten by the moth."

23. Such a small thing will be enough to destroy them.

24. There is no condemnation for those whom God justifies.

25. Now the Messiah speaks.

26. The nation that rejected Jehovah in the Old Testament rejected the Lord Jesus in the New.

27. He came as the True Disciple, "teaching for God to speak the proper 'words'.

28. Each "morning" "His ear" was opened to receive instructions from His Word for that day.

29. He delighted in doing God's will, "even when it meant going to the cross."

30. He did not turn back but willingly gave Himself "to suffering and "shame" for us.

31. In full confidence that God would vindicate (defend) Him, He set His face like a flint (hard stone) to go to Jerusalem.

32. And He was vindicated, of course, by His resurrection.

33. All His enemies will "grow old like clothing" eaten by the moth.

34. (Hebrews 13:6) The confident confession of him who has Christ: The Lord is my helper; I will not fear what man can do to me; "whatever you can do to me".

35. The fact is that in Christ we have "perfect security, 'protection,' and 'peace.'

36. God says these words: "Jehovah your God is the one who goes with you; He will not leave you or forsake you."

37. May we be encouraged not to give up, knowing who it is that protects us "at all times".

38. (Psalm 118:6) When God is with us, He is supreme, and this should remove all fear.

39. This happened to David: "The Lord is with me, I will not fear what man can do to me."

40. Let him do me all the harm he can; that he can frown, threaten, intrigue, arm himself, hit; the Lord is at my side.

41. He takes special care of me; He is "a shield" to me, I will not fear, but hope; as in the next verse: I reject those who hate me.

42. I will see them changed or destroyed.

43. Our help is in the name of the Lord, but our fears are in the name of man. Amen
