Heaven

"Heaven" - Psalm 103:19 The Lord established His throne in the heavens, and His kingdom ruled overall. He had a raven (1 Kings 17:4) for Elijah; you shall drink of the brook; and "I have commanded 'the raven' to feed you there; a gourd for Jonah (Jonah 4:6). There is no occasion, not even the hour of death; there is no place, not even the most terrible torment; there is no creature, not even the devil, from which the Lord cannot deliver us. For He is God. Therefore, at all times and in all places and against all creatures, let us trust Him to deliver us.

I. The blue sky tells us about the greatness of God and all that He has done.

A. Though all the preachers of the earth should be silent, and every human mouth should cease to publish the glory of God.

1. Manifest beauty of His holiness.

2. It is the public manifestation of His holiness.

3. (Leviticus 10:3) God's glory is the manifest beauty of His holiness.

4. God says that He will manifest His holiness to those who are near Him and that He will be glorified before all the people.

5. The glory of God is the infinite beauty and greatness of God's manifold perfections.

6. It is to see His character, His value, and His attributes (qualities).

7. This would be another way to describe it: God's glory is the infinite beauty and greatness of His manifold perfections.

8. (Psalm 19:1) The heavens declare the glory of God.

9. The book of nature has three leaves: the sky, the earth, and the sea, of which heaven is the first and most glorious, and with its help we can see the beauties of the other two.

10. (Philippians 3:20) Philippi was a colony of Rome (Acts 16:12) for that reason, the Philippians were citizens of Rome and enjoyed its protection and privileges.

11. They were also citizens of their local government.

12. Against this background, the apostle reminds believers "that their citizenship is in heaven."

13. Not only are we citizens of heaven, but we are also "out of heaven" looking forward to the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ!

14. (Ecclesiastes 3:1) What is under heaven has its hour.

15. Beneath the sky has its time for you.

16. Everything has its time under the sky.

17. Some of these changes are due solely to God's hand; others depend on the will of man.

18. In the sky there is movement without change, but under the sun everything changes.

19. Man's life on earth: To be born and to die, as in the world of nature: "sow and reap."

20. (Jeremiah 32:17) Thou hast made heaven and earth with Thy great power and with Thy outstretched arm."

21. That for Him nothing is impossible "And there is nothing that is too difficult for You".

22. That He is a God of justice.

23. That He is a God of universal dominion and command.

24. He is a great God because He is powerful.

25. His dwelling place is heaven, but He rules: He governs the entire universe, without limits.

26. (Matthew 22:2) The kingdom of heaven.

27. He likened "the kingdom of heaven to a king who prepared a wedding feast for his son."

28. The invitation was made in two stages.

29. First there was an invitation in advance, communicated personally by some servants, who were met with a resounding rejection.

30. The second invitation announced to them that the banquet was already prepared and was treated with contempt by some, too busy with their farms and businesses, and violently by others, who, laying hands on the servants, mistreated and killed them.

31. (Psalm 73:25-26) Ah! Lord Jesus: You are the best of friends.

32. You are the object (matter) of my love; my soul seeks you; My heart longs for you.

33. What do I "care about the world" with all its pleasures and pomps, its power and glory, unless You are in it?

34. What do I care for the most delicate food, the sweetest drinks, and the most cheerful company unless You are present and unless I can dip my morsel in Your wounds, sweeten my drink with Your grace, and hear Your comforting words!

35. Certainly, my Savior, even if I were in heaven and did not find You there, it would not "appear to be heaven."

36. Therefore, Lord Jesus, when, with tears, "sighs and longings of my heart" and "patient hope", I seek You, do not hide from me", "but allow me to find You; because "Lord! Whom have I in heaven" but Thee? and without You there is no good on earth for me.

37. My flesh and heart fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. C.S.

38. For I love heaven because my Beloved dwells there.

39. (Psalm 123:1) I lift up my eyes to You.

40. It is the testimony of a believing, humble heart.

41. Unfaithfulness will never take a man above the earth.

42. Nor can pride make a man rise above the earth.

43. It is the testimony of an obedient heart.

44. A man who lifts up his eyes to God recognizes this: Lord, "I am your servant."

45. It is the testimony (declaration) of a grateful heart; recognize that every good gift, every perfect gift, comes from the hand of God.

46. It is the testimony of a heavenly heart.

47. It is the testimony of a devout heart (fervent, pious); "There is no part of the body," apart from the tongue, that is greater than the eye, as an "agent" (trusted to act and make decisions) of prayer."

48. It is the testimony of a heavenly heart. What about you?

49. He who raises his eyes to heaven recognizes that he is tired of the earth; "His heart is not here," his hope and his desire are above, because they belong to heaven. Amen
