I will be prospered in every way just as my soul prospers

TOPIC: “I will be prospered in every way just as my soul prospers” 3 John 1:2 Mateo 6:25-33 Life is very short. Even if it seems long, in reality it is very short if we compare it with the time we will spent with the Lord in the Millennium and in Eternity. After the Wedding of the Lamb we will return to this land with a glorified body to govern with Jesus for one thousand years. Revelation 19:9 Revelation 20:6 1 Corinthians 15:52, 53 We will see many things that others will not be able to see; we will witness when Satan is tied up, locked in captivity for 1,000 years. Revelation 20:1, 2 We will witness and participate in a Kingdom of peace because Jesus will reign the nations. It will be the government of our Savior, Jesus of Nazareth, the righteous of the righteous. After 1,000 years Satan will be set free out of his prison and will go out to deceive the nations many people of this world will reveal together with him and that will be the last and greatest battle, and God will terminate them forever. Revelation 20:7 The Lord will end this earth and the heavens will wind like a roller and he will create new heavens and a new earth where justice will prevail forever. 2 Peter 3:13 We will dwell with God for all eternity. In order to participate of this blessing, to be there, we must not remain stubborn; we must listen to the word of God and obey it. First of all, men need a new life in Christ. In this world of evil and sin where God’s laws are violated daily we need to repent from living away from God. By accepting Christ we are forgiven, cleansed and separated from evilness. We have been separated from Satan’s Kingdom who governs in this world of sin. We have been adhered to the Kingdom of the Son of God, Jesus Christ. Jesus came to die on the cross and break the curse of sin. Galatians 3:13 Therefore, the only way we can become separated from sin and sanctify ourselves is by being born again, from water and from the spirit. This refers to baptism in water and the Holy Spirit who can give life to our spirit. Then the Spirit will enable us and give us spiritual power to please God and walk as Jesus walked. This is marvelous! But, as time goes by, we can see that some believers grow cold and they cannot be distinguished among those who don’t believe in the Gospel. They no longer enlighten others. It is a custom to say “I’m a Christian,” but those who say they have the love of God in their heart and do not love their brothers in Christ are transgressors of the law of God. It is necessary that we distinguish ourselves as the body of Christ. Many will not leave in the Rapture of the church and when they arrive at the Trial of the White Throne there will be weeping. The rebellious and the insolent, those who despise what is holy and plays with religion will not enter Heaven. What a loss! The Gospel is for us to be an example of good deeds and carriers of the powerful Gospel so that this world will not be lost. Later we will inherit eternal life. We all have purposes in this life, desires, dreams and plans. The common people only worry about their food, clothing and material things. But, Jesus says to seek first the Kingdom of God and His justice, and the Father will take care of providing us everything else. Let us be wise, that is what God wants.

In 3 John 1:2 we read about Brother Gaius, John addressed this letter to him. Gaius provided lodge to the brethren, he was a great Christian. There was a good relationship between them. For that reason, John wished for him to prosper in everyway and in health just as his soul prospered. We all desire things, but if we struggle to obtain these things first in life, we will probably obtain them at a very expensive price. Everyone wants health, money, love and to maintain their youth. They struggle with eagerness and anxiety for all this. Careful, we cannot become too eager to obtain these things and neglect our soul. We have to occupy ourselves in prospering our soul first, grow in God and sanctify ourselves, staying away from the ungodliness things that do not convene. As Christians we can become eager and anxious to obtain some material things first and later say that we do not have time to pray, fast or to go to church. Time is short for all of us. Our eyes should be open to see and understand the times we are living. Eagerness and anxiety can steal the communion and life in sanctity from the believers. Let us not become eager like the gentiles, let us fulfill our ministry and do God’s will. The marvelous truth is that we will be prospered in everything, healthy just as our soul prospers. Let us be wise and understand what John knew and wished his brother Gaius. We are God’s people, a chosen nation. Amen.
