TOPIC: “I will activate my faith and I will touch Jesus among the multitude” Mark 5:21-34 In this occasion Jesus was heading to the house of a man called Jairus, and was surrounded by a multitude that was following him. Everyone wanted to touch Jesus, so it was not easy for Him to walk among the multitude. But the Master wanted to save and heal the daughter of this man who came with a humble heart before Him. Many cried and screamed out to him. Sometimes we live screaming and afflicted. Humans complicate things a lot, but we can see the Father's love upon us, how much He has tolerated us in our walk, because he sees in us a desire and our struggle towards perfection which we will reach. Jesus spent an average of three years on the earth preaching. People would come to Him to be healed, so that He would supply their needs and for no other reason. We must not be like that; we must go to Him and start loving Him with all our strength. According to vs. 24, Jesus was walking to Jairus’ house and at that same time there was a woman who rapidly and with astuteness approached Him and touched His garment. Jesus wasn’t planning to stop in that moment. He knew what He had come for and what He wanted, for He was very stable. He was heading to Jairus’ house to help his daughter and this woman interrupted him and Jesus could not continue walking. Jairus’ daughter had died. But, Jairus had come to Jesus with a lot of faith. In the same way as Jairus, this woman also had a lot of faith. This faith was what imparted this woman who had spent all she had in her illness. Her faith caused her to become daring. She no longer had anything that would help her conserve her life, but only faith in Jesus. Vs. 26 and because of her faith she changed the Lord’s direction. She went through twelve years of illness. Vs. 25 It seems that she had heard about Jesus' miracles. And so it happens that according to what we hear, that is what causes the faith in us. And Jesus doesn't get tired of working, but men do. Nobody can break the chains that tie mankind, nobody can really comfort us, or heal us, etc., but Jesus can. For this reason, this woman intercepted Jesus, and got in the way as we must also do. The devil seeks to obstruct this road with gossips to interrupt our walk. Let us not allow him to do so. In this woman there was faith and for this reason she said: "if I can only touch his garment I will be healed…” She had in all her being, a greater faith than the illness that was in her body. For this reason she walked as fast as she could regardless of the multitude, she only thought of one thing, touch the edge of the Lord’s garment. That is faith! Sometimes we have Jesus crucified and dead and that’s it. But, by hearing the Word the faith will come. She was determined because of her faith, by what she had heard about the Lord, by the Word and by Jesus' testimony. For that reason we have to be careful when we speak, we should speak in faith. There are topics that will only harden the heart and conversations that will only bring much harm. If someone had spoken badly about Jesus to this woman she would not have ran to seek for a miracle. As the church, if we speak of this power and of how people have been converting to Christ, we will cause others to become saved and healed and our faith will remain active. Let us always be full with faith and run after Jesus. Because of her faith she did what she had planned, she touched the edge of Jesus' mantel. For trying she was successfully coronate, and totally healed. She knew where to go and we must also know

where to go. Our knees are our map and there is where we must discover each day which direction we must take. She wanted everything to go quietly, but in Jesus' heart this healing did not remain a secret. Something happened and Jesus was not going to let her go, he wanted to allow her to see that He was her Savior. Jesus knew that a divine power came out from him when she touched him. This power and virtue had not been provoked in him by the ones who walked with him. Let us not forget that Jesus is right next to God interceding for us. It is to believe Him knowing that the power to heal and to fill the church of glory comes from Jesus. Jesus knew that it was her who had touched him and he wanted to see her face to face. We have to put aside what is tormenting us and look at Jesus because He is willing to work in us. The healing comes from him. She could say that her faith was not in vain. The Faith causes great miracles. We should not go to bed broken-hearted but with faith. In the midst of our problems, in our anguish, we must have faith in Him. We please Jesus when we maintain our faith active. The disciples questioned Him because that He asked who had touched Him. Vs. 31 So much familiarity in them degenerated in questions to the Son of God. Be careful, we must maintain a distance. Sometimes we get used to seeing miracles and because of the familiarity we despise the things that are sacred, we must be careful to conserve what is sublime, and sacred to God. They thought that Jesus' question didn't make sense. They had to demolish all arguments to have Christ's mind. The arguments become our teachers and we become irrational. Those who have a desire and live in faith move God. With faith we cause Him to know that we are close and He will do miracles. They could not know who that woman was in whom occurred the miracle. Jesus was hoping for her to speak out and His tender look, full of love, kept looking for her among the multitude until she could not contain herself anymore. He knew that power had come out from Him; He was not going to reproach her but to welcome her faith. That woman threw herself to His feet and she confessed before everything. Not because Jesus needed to hear it but so that the multitude would know that miracles have not ceased. Jesus knows everything. We need to see miracles because there are things that cannot be bought. A miracle comes from Jesus who died for us. Salvation comes when we believe him. Jesus' words were very comforting for that woman. She left her house without knowing if Jesus would stop for her, but she made an effort and found a salvation, finally. She was saved by faith, she had peace, she was healed, and she found more than she was looking for. She didn't know very much, but because of her courage, determination and desire she found more. In Jesus there is abundance, He fills everything. That woman arrived without anything and left with everything. So it is worth fighting for, let us fight and activate our faith just as she did. Amen.
