TOPIC: “Those who are humble recognize that God is the one who will do, and that’s why they remain silent” Isaiah 39:1-8 The people of Israel had to know that there were duties and all the weight of the town was upon the king. We have the truth and for such reason we are not moved by erroneous things. There are many who come to find out what God is doing in the midst of us and we must open our eyes and see because they come to find out and the only way they will be able to discover is if there is pride in us. Sometimes our voice of pride is what speaks. Those who are humble recognize that God is the only one who can do, and this is why they remain silent because they know that it is not with their strength but because Jehovah is who does abundantly according to how much we seek Him. If there is something that Jehovah requests from those who have seen His glory is to remain in silence because in silence He will bless and give abundantly. When we tell others what God is doing it is because we are selling ourselves. If there is something we should learn it is to love others and this is the reason why we move. Everything we have to do must not be done by raising our voice but in silence so that those who want to come to the Lord will have a clear mind of how to arrive at His house. With love we bring people to the feet of the Lord. Here there is silence for us and glory for God. He asks us to worship Him and to love Him. 2 Chronicles 32:31 Everything that happens in church is because God allows it to happen and He chooses the whole process which we will undergo. There were many reasons for Babylon to come to the Kingdom. Hezekiah had the prophet Isaiah at his side in that time. The first reason that moved Babylon to see what was happening was because the power of God was being manifested strongly in the town. It was not that Hezekiah was something special because he was just another king, or that he possessed any natural forces but rather the power came from God. When we trust God and we depend on Him we put ourselves in His hands and we rest completely in Him. But for this it is necessary to have a pure heart, without any greatness, because the more we surrender to God the more He will do in us. Let us see the intention of people's heart. Those from Babylon found out that Hezekiah had been healed and that the sun had moved backward, and they came to see. Let us see to it that it is spoken of the fruit of Mega Zoe. There are many religions that think that there is an obligation of staying united. Those of Babylon worshipped the sun and then they thought that their god had healed Hezekiah. 2 Kings 20:9 The other reason for which they came was for a political interest, because it suited them to have Hezekiah on their behalf because they saw that Jehovah came out to his favor. Our trust is not in men or the horses of Egypt but in God. No victory can come from any human being because of our weakness. Whoever rises against us is not for life but for death, then it is not our strength but a powerful God in whom we have put our trust. It suited the king from Assyria to have a friendship with Hezekiah because there was a powerful God that came out in favor of the town. It is convenient for every person to have a friendship with someone who is close to God Almighty. The king received the Babylonians with joy, he went too far. No one who knows that Jehovah is the one who does wonders and has the power gives honor to those who come with false pretenses as if they were friends. We sometimes forget that God is the one who does wonders. Many come to destroy. Those who don’t belong to us need no honor, compliments are not good.

Those of Babylon were idolatrous and Hezekiah was willing to join them. The strength of the people is not in the multitudes but in God. Hezekiah in his act, in his behavior of vainglory showed them everything he possessed, what there was in the house. All that information that we give out in many occasions is an act of vainglory. The best thing for us is to be quiet. The king of Babylon was a great and rich king and no matter how much Hezekiah showed him it would not equal what he had because he destroyed and possessed from everyone. Isaiah brought comfort to Hezekiah in many occasions and spoke to him on behalf of God, but now there was a strong word from God against him because vainglory brings reprehension and punishment on behalf of God. Let us close the doors to vainglory because this brings a lot of suffering and punishment on behalf of God. Nowadays, many are accustomed to see the church as a place where everything is well, very little is said about the Scriptures. But, when we want to go deeply into the word we must see it clearly so that we can be taught and corrected. No one should compare the men and women of God who maintain integrity. Sometimes we blame anyone because we have not known a God who is Holy, Holy, Holy. There are things that begin to happen so that we can see what is deep inside our hearts. Isaiah was calm and he spoke to Hezekiah. Isaiah could speak because he maintained his integrity. He understood (2 Chronicles 32:3) that the more men receive the greater the temptation for vainglory he will have; but God had left him to test him, to allow him to see what was in his heart. Falls are ugly and they harm those who fall as well as those who surround them. We sometimes act clumsy when we know so much. There wasn’t anything in his house or in his dominions that he did not show to the Babylonians. Isaiah maintained a dialogue with Hezekiah and although he knew he asked him what they had seen in his house and Hezekiah answered him that he had shown them everything. Isaiah was his prophet and spoke to him with sincerity. The heart of Hezekiah had been betrayed because of the vanity. Our heart betrays us and we know it every time we speak, for such reason in order not to die it is best for God to let us see the evilness in it. We represent God in this earth. The treasures that make us so proud will soon be other people's garment. Those of Babylon arrived looking, examining and questioning. Hezekiah was a good man and wise, but when God began to work the miracle on his behalf it resulted rather difficult to watch his heart and he was hit by arrogance. God demands that the people be careful. Pride is subtle and poisonous and we should humiliate ourselves. Hezekiah received a message so that he would humiliate and be convinced of his insensitivity. Later on those of Babylon took Jerusalem and they destroyed it. How are we going to rest from our enemies if what they are seeking for is to destroy us? Taking care of the heart from pride is what will liberate us until the end and not to make alliance with the false believers or idolaters, but to make a vow with God because He knows how to conserve us. Let us not eat our enemy's plate. Jehovah will allow us to see what is in us to test us. Amen.
