Topic: “I Will Have Mercy And Satisfaction In The Personal Circumstances" Proverbs 27:24-27 I Timothy 6:5-10 It is proper for men to live a complicated life, but God has called us for a simple life. Careful, it is our silliness that can destroy us. When we live a complicated life, not only we complicate ourselves, but all those who surround us. Only we decide which way to go in our life, our way of life. We either live guided by this world, by what we hear or we choose to live according to God’s will. God did not call us to move in the sphere of this world but to move us in His sphere. It is God who controls everything, and He should also control our lives, because it is for our well-being, it is for the best. Sometimes we do things, not because it makes us happy but to fill the eyes of others. To not know how to live in simplicity causes many problems. Life is temporary, swift, short. God has provided teaching centers such as universities, institutes, etc., where men and women can prepare to obtain a benefit. But, sometimes the youth study at the university with the purpose of getting and momentarily forget the reason for which God has saved them. God has called us to live a simple life where He can become our God in everything. The international trade presents the perspective of large revenues that tempt many to abandon God. It is not what we possess, but how we live when God accommodates us. We should open our eyes and look at the times. We should see what really is worth in life because sometimes we waste what is worthwhile. In these days we have forgotten the mercy that we should have with others. We should have compassion, and not persist in what is not valuable. The money obtained in the city is unstable. Everyone lives in anxiety desiring what they can’t afford and this is where God is completely forgotten; there is no mercy because everything becomes an appearance (vanity). There is so much pride that there is no space left for mercy. To satisfy our pride one has to live in shame because of the lack of mercy. Salomon spoke of this in Proverbs when there were times of great need, and Paul taught Timothy allowing his people to see in those days that there was only one path, and that is the path of mercy. The money obtained in the city is unstable. When one lives first for God, the benefits don't come that quickly and more effort and patience is required. But, when we live a simple life we will not be like those who complain. Mercy is an attitude toward God. It is to please, to fear and have reverence towards God. Food is a spontaneous fruit of the earth. Everything in life is an ambition. Everything has gone out of focus. Salomon told them to live in peace because the lambs would produce wool. In occasions, we complicate our existence and we take on burdens that we cannot possibly carry. That is why we break down and we become crazy. People sometimes live frustrated and they can’t enjoy what they have and live quarrelling all lifelong. Some don't have goals according to what God wants; they only have their own ambitions. It never crosses their mind to live a merciful life. The great ambitions have taken possession of this world and of the church. Paul said that men even took pity as a source of profit. The Bible advises that we must withdraw from all those profane profits. The combination of mercy accompanied by contentment is indeed a great source of earning. Let us be happy with what we have. Everyone lives complaining about everything and we, the believers, cannot live the life that God has given us in a constant grudge and discomfort. Let us examine ourselves. If our mercy doesn't have contentment we will be giving a testimony to only one side. We are not able to live our lives in gratitude if we live desiring to possess what don’t belong to us and this is very dangerous. We must

have mercy with contentment. To have true mercy and to have contentment with the personal circumstances is more than what money can buy. We will never be happy with what surrounds us while we’re seeking what doesn’t belong to us. In that rest the celestial Father is the one who has provision for our necessities, He will provide us with what is ours. God will give us what He wrote for Puerto Rico. Let us live a simple life. I Timothy 6:7 We haven’t brought anything to this world. We are born with nothing and when we come to the Lord and when we die we will leave with nothing. There is nothing we can get out of this world, but much to gain in Heaven. If we are people with mercy we will have the providence of God. At the time of our death, our contentment and our mercy is what we will take to Heaven. Let us be satisfied with what we have. God knows what we need. Let us have what is meant for us, because the desire of becoming rich and the sin to possess can destroy us. Which is man's demand? God knows well what we need, the need we have of clothing. When there is no humiliation in us it is because we have decided that we want to seek for more. To grow rich leads to temptation, to the bond of many foolish and harmful covetousness that destroys the body. We fall in bonds and traps of a desire that becomes so intense that one cannot get out of it. If something we should be desirous of is to be full of contentment, of mercy. The desire to be like someone else is unreasonable greed. Let us not sacrifice life’s value. Values collapse because of the obsession to possess material things. The root of all evil is the love for money. Let us live in contentment with what God has given us. In the love for money all kind of evilness appears. Envy arrives and that takes away a life of honesty, leads to selfishness, fraud, and the most painful thing is that we forget about God. A particular threat in this crazy lust for money is our departure from our faith. One neglects the fear and the spiritual matters and for this reason many pains will arise. Because of envy we lose many wonderful things. To encounter God with empty hands and no fruits is the worst. We decide if we are to live this life with contentment or by appearance. If we live with contentment, everything that Jehovah will give us will shine in wealth in glory. Amen.
