“I Am Crowned With God’s Favor And Mercies” Psalm 145:8-9

Our God has always had open arms for us to this day, but we can see this when we know God’s absolute thought and not with our own thoughts. This is because our thoughts are very unstable. For such a reason, when we evaluate our thoughts we can see how far we are from God, but as the years go by God will take His thoughts and put them in us. Our God is great in mercy! The mercy is the external manifestation of what compassion is, but in these times we don’t like to have compassion. The word mercy should always be present in a believer’s life; we must live it, because God has shown great mercy for us. The mercies of God are new each day. Mercy assumes the necessity in those who receive it and brings adequate resources to those who exhibit it to face necessities. As the church we can express the mercy of God in our lives; that He has not abandoned us, but rather He has done much good to our lives. Mercy is compassion and when we have compassion it turns into grief because of the suffering of others; it is to suffer for other and this is what we have to do. For us to do mercy, we must learn that it is necessary to suffer for others. We should make it a habit to exhibit the mercy of God because He has greatly extended His mercy toward our lives. Many people want to hear that there is tragedy in our lives, but we only exhibit God’s mercy. Let us be capable of demonstrating mercy and compassion to others. Sometimes, we despise God with what we say; we despise the grace, how good God has been with us. Let us not forget that we are already in the process of eternity. The compassion that God has had with our needs is the compassion that we must give here in this world to others. By His grace we have been saved, by His mercy we have been delivered from ruin, that is why we have learned to be happy. We have to announce, exhibit the mercy of God. We are not victims, because God has had mercy. The Lord is great in compassion; He never forgets any of us. We, His creatures, are the ones who forget. Spurgeon said: "In an ocean of compassion the infinite God has to be present.” When God calls us He begins to work with us slowly, to form us with compassion. Even though He knows that we are not capable of understanding Him, He begins to work and to fix our lives. God puts us in His hand and looks at us with His perfect eyes. God’s process seems slow, but it is perfect for our lives. God is moved from His innermost on our behalf with His mercy. God’s compassion is so great for our lives! He has created everything; He has mercy and compassion so that our soul will not be lost. Because He loves us and will always watch over us; for that reason He will always insist. How much evil wants to destroy us and put us in shame and God has always been there on our behalf so that we will not be destroyed! The devil is the one that is destroyed, therefore, he wants to destroy us too, but God’s mercy comes out on our behalf each day.

The mercy of God is manifested in us and we exhibit it. We either exalt God or we underestimate Him; we decide this. People will weight us as Christians to measure God in us and we cannot allow this, because God cannot be measured. God gives us resources to face whatever wants to destroy us. We have learned something of God and it is that He is slow in anger. Even those who refuse His grace participate of His mercy. If there is someone who has the right to be angry with men it is God, because He knows each one’s perfect measure. Even when men do not repent but rather go from bad to worse, God refuses to turn His anger on them. If God’s anger became manifest because of the evilness of men, the earth would be burnt like straw. Good is Jehovah with everyone. He lives only to please us, favor us and give us of His mercy. God wants us to see how good He is with everyone. Even the worst can taste the mercy of God. Psalm 103:3b We are crowned of favors and mercies on behalf of God. Through us God wants to crown others with His favor. The mercy of God has no limits; it is for our lives from the eternity until the eternity. Psalm 108:4 The mercy of God is greater than the skies. Titus 3:5 We were saved by God’s mercy. Ephesians 2:4 There is more abundant mercy for us; let us believe it and ask for it. God has given us a lot, then, why live in scarcity? God is rich in mercy for His great love with which He has loved us. Then, why the scarcity when the abundance is for us? We sit at the table; we don't gather the crumbs, because the crumbs are for the iniquitous. “There are sweet dewdrops in the thistle as well as in the roses", Spurgeon said. The mercy of God embraces a lot of territory. That tenderness and compassion which we have lived and His mercies are found in all His deeds. Kindness is a law of God’s universe. The earth cannot be destroyed by anything or anyone or by any knowledge because this belongs to God. Even when sin has caused great loss to God’s creation and work, God’s mercy is always there for us. There is abundance, indication of a skilled hand that alleviates, as He has done always. What makes life tolerable is the tenderness of the Father, and for that reason there is rest in us. We cannot become desperate because God will come out on our behalf. The creator is never rough; in His providence He is never forgetful. The one that governs who is God, after all, is never cruel, but loving. God wanted everything perfect, but when mankind sinned evilness began to cover the earth, it was not what the Father wanted. For that reason He had to develop mercy and compassion upon us, so much that He had to send His Son. The body that left the Creator’s hand was not formed for death or illness. There was no evil purpose or anguish for men; on the contrary, men were created for joyful activities. We should always be able to say “God, may your mercy, whose glory is to be extended upon all, also reach me.” May God’s mercy produce upon us faith to understand that each day He supports us. Amen.
