Promises For The Righteous

I have faith that in our old age we will say: "Jehovah my strength He is righteous and in Him there is not injustice". If we go to the Scriptures to Psalm 92 we can see that there are hundreds of promises, but sometimes we get so involved during the day that we don’t study the Word of God, which is convenient for us because it is spiritual. If there are blessings for me, why not obtain them? If there is abundance for my life, why not receive it and enjoy it? What happens is that we don't receive because of our lack of faith. We don’t believe in who we should believe, in God. It is easier to believe in our children or anyone close to us than to believe the Lord. That is why, when we are in the middle of a trial or when temptation comes, it seems as if the world was falling apart. We think it is the end and we say: "This is too much; I’ll never go back to church". We think that our life has ended and then we want to escape. We find ourselves with a burden and oppressed when we are going through a difficult moment. Even the way we speak changes. There is nothing strange or new about it. We go through difficulties and problems because that is part of life. 1 Peter 4: 12 But listen, there are several promises that God has given us to live a full life. First of all, we have to understand and be careful of what we speak. What we confess with our mouth will tie and bind a person for well-being or for evil. It is said: “I have so many problems that I am going to go crazy!" Be careful not to declare those negative confessions. In Mathew 12:37 Jesus says clearly that we will be justified or condemned for our words. Jesus was very clear, because He spoke what the Father thought. We should be careful with our words and may the Holy Spirit possesses us and fills us and dominates our speech. You don’t have to speak every thought that comes to your mind. Jesus said: "... of all worthless words that men speak, they will be accountable in the day of the judgment". The balance of our future is in our words. Jesus used His words in the creation; even we are created by His words. Each word spoken by Jesus had influence and strength. It is time to speak the words of the Lord with a lot of strength. Among the many promises that God gives to the righteous, there is the following: “The righteous will flourish like a palm tree.” Psalm 92:12 The palm tree is seen in the desert, it grows in the sand, not in the fertile land. The sand doesn’t offer the food that an ordinary plant would need to stay alive and healthy; it would dry and die quickly. But, the palm tree is sustained by God in the sand. The Scriptures are very clear, like the palm tree we also grow in the sand, the church. We are palm trees sowed in sand and our dependence is totally in God. The infidel, the sinful men grow in fertile prairies, but we grow in the difficult sand. The art of the palm tree is that it grows deep roots, it seeks water deeply and in this way it does not depend on the land. We are like palm trees that seek the water of life from God and flourish to give fruit, because it is necessary to flourish before giving the fruit. Also, when the storm comes we bend, like the palm tree, to be able to stand before the strong winds. We have learned to bend with humbleness, and not remain harsh, stubborn or arrogant before the stormy winds of the problems. Let us remember that the palm tree grows in scarcity, in the desert, and not in fertile and beautiful gardens. Therefore, our strength is not in the good or bad

circumstances. My courage is given to me by Jehovah. My faith grows according to how profound I am with God. God gives us only one life and it is our individual responsibility to give fruit in this life. God wants us to depend on Him and be very profound with Him. God lives and works for you. He watches every gesture we make, He watches every move. If you have noticed, the trunk of the palm tree is big, wide and the branches are beautiful. Comparing a Christian with a palm tree a wise man said: "The penetrating roots of the faith reaches the sources of live waters”. This happens with us. We are righteous and the righteous flourish and do not have the same view the world has. The psalmist did well in comparing us with the palm tree. Our lives are to give fruit. According to the Indians, 360 products or different things are made from the palm tree. We are not only here to decorate, but to give fruit and to do well. Therefore, we cannot afford to live under stress because of the problems. God will create our tomorrow, since He has written our future. No one can steal our faith. In hard and difficult times we yield, we humiliate ourselves. For that we have to be meek and humble. That is why we continue giving fruits like the palm tree. There is much more to compare ourselves with the palm tree. The palm tree is in the desert and for its location it points out and lets us know where the water is, and that is precisely where the palm tree is. That is the way we are. We are the ones who bring blessings to many. There are blessing where we are. Because Jehovah prepared our future so that we can obtain what is written in the Bible as promises. Therefore, if I don’t have faith I can’t please God. The palm tree doesn't grow any smaller or declines with the years in giving fruits. It is said that the palm tree gives the best fruit, the date, when the tree is between 60 and 100 years of age. If we keep comparing ourselves we can see that in the years to come there is maturity. And it is that we need pure wisdom when we become older. Psalm 92:12 and 13 goes on to say that in church we are planted as a cedar in the Lebanon. The cedar is a strong, thick and high tree. Its wood is aromatic, it produces good fragrance, grows seeds, it has great durability and the leaves do not fall. The autumn cannot bring down the leaves in the cedar. God speaks this way of the righteous. We are like gold. Praise the Lord! We are planted in the House of Jehovah, it is His house and we are His children. For that reason we receive so many wonderful things, but it is because we are planted in the House of Jehovah, where our living water is. The living water is in the House of the Lord. He provides a house to plant us in it like the cedars in the Lebanon. We need the House of God and the Lord of the House. We are cedars, there is a pleasant fragrance and our leaf does not fall. We have to congregate because this is where we are planted and where we have promises. Acts 10: 25 I congregate because I am planted in the House of Jehovah. Hearing the voice of Jehovah nourishes me. Faith comes along when we hear the Word. In the atrium we flourish, we give our fruit whichever it is. And the righteous in their old age keep giving fruit. The more years the better the fruit is and more desirable. Ralph Robinson said: The plenitude of Christ is manifested in us according to the fruit we produce”. By our fruits it is known how much Christ is in us. Let us be constant in our search with God and let us be obedient. The Scripture is obedience in everything. To be obedient demonstrates to be stable and firm, while the disobedient receive punishment. As the years go by, the righteous will give the best fruit. When we are old we will say: "Jehovah is righteous, In God there is not injustice". We should seek to have a good payment from Jehovah. Let us fear God not out of fear, but because He pays well because of His righteousness. Amen.
