TOPIC: “I Will Seek To Speak With Grace, Pleasure And Seasoned With Salt” Colossians 4:6 How careful we must be! Because we are surrounded by angels and we will be accountable for every word that we say. As the church we should know that we are in the world, but we don’t belong to the world. Jehovah demands sanctity from our eyes as well as our mouth. For that reason, we the believers do not speak our own words but the Word of the Lord. If we speak bad words, then we will show that the Lord is not in us. Our voice, what we speak, must be of God. Our words should always be words with grace. When we speak to contend with others that are not saved or with others who say they are religious, we should be very careful what we speak, because arguing is useless and will not convince anyone of sin. The word of God is not to contend. In a discussion there is nothing good but discomfort. In discussions we can see there is censorship. We cannot win a soul based on discussion, because discussions will never get us anywhere. The life we live, our testimony each day, is what truly speaks to them and will show that Christ lives in us. With our lives we can attract others. We have the responsibility and duty to show Christ to others with our daily life. As we open our mouths we must do it with grace. We should have grace and sympathy in our way of speaking when giving the response that each person deserves. Sometimes, some are very audacious when speaking secretly, but there is an angel listening to them and also the Holy Spirit. When it is time for us to speak it must be with grace, with attractiveness and pleasure. We have been given a rule- to speak words with grace, attractiveness, and a desire to please. When some people speak they want to create mystery and horror. What do we expect when we speak with so much horror? Others speak with a lot of jeer, with sarcasm and irony. Sometimes, it is also spoken with pride, with the prepotency of believing to have the absolute truth. It is necessary to realize that people don't have to listen to us, they are very busy. But, when they do, we should make sure that our words are spoken with grace, pleasure and seasoned with salt. We have nothing to lose by being kind and courteous. We sometimes become frivolous people, impure, full with bitterness. It should not be this way. A seasoned word has to penetrate in the person that hears us. A believer has not been born to deal with issues lightly. When giving advice one cannot be frivolous, because one has to make the other person understand with patience and love. Those who are not deep cannot transform lives. Sometimes we cannot be those deep people because we want to live superficially, without being pushed and without any effort. In order for others to be transformed we should speak on behalf of God with strength, not lightly. For that reason, one cannot speak the immoral things, because when we do we are participating of all that is vain. A word with season cannot be with impurity. Impure things produce

heaviness, discomfort to the ears of those who listen. When God gives us the opportunity to speak well and on the other hand we take impurity, we harm those who hear us. Bitterness afflicts and instead of doing well it harms. When loveless words are spoken it is because we have forgotten that there are people that lend us their ears to listen to us. There are some who use a game of words to say what is inside of them. We should know that the salt that God requests from us as we speak should be by means of a sincere conversation and without treachery. The punishment is not for the one who believes the lie, but for the one who tells the lie. When we enter in a conversation where somebody takes the position of listening, we should speak to that person with sincerity and without treachery. When we are going to resolve something we should surrender to that conversation. Our words should never be boring, without meaning or insipid, because after all, this speaks of what is in us. In a conversation what is sound or frivolous will come out, the good or the bad intention that is in our lives. Our conversation should always be valuable and profitable. We should always desire to have words seasoned with salt and ingeniousness so that our words will be full of wisdom. With wisdom we can do much well, to help others more. Our mouth is the Father's mouth, for what He wants to speak. When that grace was manifested in Jesus He conquered the Samaritan woman’s ears. As Jesus, our lives must be pure and that is what will be heard. Our words must be seasoned to know how to respond to each person, according to what people need. There is a great problem if we don't know how to respond. When we don’t know we remain quiet. Let us know how to respond to each person. Jesus knew what He had to speak; He had the grace to answer to each one what He had to answer. His words were always seasoned as He spoke, for that reason no one confused Him because He knew the truth. We must know how to answer to our brothers and the impious with words of wisdom and fidelity. We must learn what fidelity is. The grace of God has been given to us through Christ so that we can be free and no longer be anyone’s captive or prisoner. Amen.
