The Second Coming Of Christ

I had a dream where I looked towards the sky and was able to see a city. Immediately, I thought, it is the rapture of the church! Suddenly, I felt I was being lifted towards Heaven. I started rising and said "Jesus is waiting for me in the clouds!" I was looking at the dense cloud. I kept seeing the city, but I did not see Jesus. And the dream ended. I was able to understand that God wants to let me know that He wants to come and get me. That He is coming for the second time! To not forget of His great love and of the care He has for me. Christ will return again and the Bible tells us about His second coming in many verses. Matthew 26:63, 64 "... the high priest said to him, I charge you under oath by the living God: Tell us if you are the Christ, the Son of God.” Jesus replied: “But I say to all of you: In the future you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven.” The Lord clearly spoke to the high priest. He assured him that He is the Christ, the Son of God. He affirmed His deity, and that He would return to earth for the second time, that He would come in the clouds of heaven. It has to be known that Jesus came to the earth to give His life in remission (payment) for the sins of men. God’s love for the world is manifested in His mercy. There was a great struggle on behalf of the darkness, on behalf of Satan against the Lord so that the Hades or death would not triumph. But, in order to fulfill God’s justice, He would have to condemn all sinners. Therefore, in order to deliver these men from condemnation, someone was needed to pay the price of death and the one who was willing was Jesus. God’s mercy has interceded for the life of the sinners and He presented a rescue. That mercy made God Himself offer aid to the sinning man. So, to give us life, Jesus, without a life with sin, dying and resuscitating, defeated death, defeated Hell and the grave. In order to live a life of divine forgiveness, a new life, God's justice has to be satisfied somehow. Jesus achieved it surrendering His life out of love, paying the cruel price of shedding His blood when dying on the cross (Hebrews 9:22), because we were condemned due to the sin in our lives. We would perish unless there was a mediator among us (Hebrews 9:15). That is the reason for which a rescue has to be offered, to satisfy the divine justice. It is the thought that one can sin without paying a price. But, the payment for sinning is death. After all this, Jesus is coming to take us and in that moment we will be either dead or alive. Those men at the beginning of the church saw Jesus in His days of humiliation. And, how much pain we can feel when we see everything that was done to our Master! Jesus, let the high priest of the Jewish people know something like this: "Yes, I am the Christ, the Son of God in a human body. I seem to be just another man, but the day will arrive when you will see me as the glorified Christ equal to God in all His aspect, sitting at the right hand of the Father and coming on the clouds of heaven”. Luke 21:27 "At that time they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory." The sun will tremble, the moon and the stars. For many, there will be anguish because of the confusion caused by the roar of the ocean and the waves (Luke 21: 25-26). The convulsions of nature and the cataclysms on the earth that will precede the second coming of Christ are described in these verses. There will be disturbances implicating the sun, the moon and the stars; disturbances that will be clearly visible from the earth. The celestial bodies will be moved from its orbits. This could cause the axle of the earth to incline and then, there will be great waves from the ocean that will sweep large regions of the continents. Panic will overcome humanity because of the celestial bodies that will move in a course of almost colliding with the earth. But, there is hope for the merciful! Let us lift our heads, well, our redemption is near! Acts 1:11 "… (the angels) also told them: Men of Galilee, why do you stand here looking to the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven." The angels lead the disciples to understand that He will come again, He will return. The disciples were in a great deal of pain because they had said farewell to Jesus, there was worship in them and they were amazed. Although they were overwhelmed with pain, now there was some hope because of what the angels had said. He would come for them, dead or alive. Hebrews 9:28 "So Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many people; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.” To save those who are waiting for Him, to take His people to Heaven. He will give us a glorified body (1 Corinthians 15: 52, 53) and we will forever stay out of the reach of sin. (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17) Dead or alive! He will appear in His imminent coming when saving us from the presence of sin. In this future event we will see closely this salvation so great and fought. We, who anxiously await His coming, will see and experience it. As true believers, we anxiously await His return; we want to be with Him, for all the eternity. How much love from the Father! He will send Jesus to get us, to be with Him forever and nothing will separate us! Amen.
