TOPIC: “Let Us Set Up Miracles Thru The Faith, They Arrive When We Speak” Romans 10:13 – 18 Our brother Caraballo was telling me that on one occasion, when he was in Colombia, in a ward far from where the gospel is usually preached and the Word is taught, that he had an experience and although it was simple it marked his life. He heard a soft and thin voice calling him and saying: Pastor, pastor! He says he was confused because he asked himself: “Who in this place so far from where I move around to teach and preach recognizes me and calls me?" It was the voice of a small girl who ran towards him and…EMBRACED HIM! He had preached the Word to that child and apparently she had moved that far. But, in her heart, the love and gratitude of what she received was still latent. THAT IS THE AFFECTION, THE LOVE THAT THE WORD PRODUCES IN THE LIVES! This is what has reached us, what the Apostle Paul says in these verses: a gospel of life, miracles and salvation. For us who believed and those who hear us and believe in the Word, there are miracles, salvation, peace, justice and joy ... because the voice of God reached them through the mouth of those who preach and speak in His name, of those who proclaim and teach directed by the Holy Spirit. The prophet Joel, according to what we read in Joel 2:32 "And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved" is quoted here in Romans 10:13 to demonstrate the universality of the gospel. When it says here "the name of the Lord" it means: the Lord Himself! Those who have the Lord already began to believe in the miracles that are accompanied by His great power. We are no longer defeated like we were before. It is simple to acknowledge the path of salvation. Whoever invokes, that will be the one who will receive the Lord Himself in his life. But just imagine, a salvation so great and with so many miracles to obtain! But, if many still don’t know Him, how will there be salvation and miracles for them? So, there has to be proclamation in our mouths. If the Word is not proclaimed, how will they know? How will they invoke, believe and hear if what has to be done is not done, if we don’t do it? Romans 10:14 "How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one whom they have not heard? And how they can hear without someone preaching to them? In this command given by God through the Apostle Paul we can understand it. God sends His servants. They preach the good news of salvation. The sinners hear of the offering of the life in Christ. Some of those who hear believe the message. Those who believe invoke the Lord ... and those who invoke Him… ARE SAVED! How beautiful are the feet of those who announce the peace, who announce the good news! As declared in Romans 10:15, God is the one who sends. We are sent! The lack of miracles in the lives is the lack of proclaiming the Word, the voice of God, to take the Verb (John 1:1, 14) Christ. And what are we doing about those who haven’t heard the Word? Do you have beautiful feet like the ones Isaiah mentions (Isaiah 52:7)? Isaiah writes of his beautiful feet, his own feet. Now it's our turn, it is our privilege and responsibility to go with beautiful

feet to a world that is lost and agonizing and bring salvation, miracles and the faith that moves mountains. The miracles will arrive according to how much of the Word they listen to. How much faith we can activate in those who receive the Word in the heart and not only in the ear! (Romans 10:17) Not everyone hears the gospel (vs.16). Not everyone wants to hear, and they do not open their hearts to the Lord. But, there is a world that is agonizing and part of it is waiting for us. There are deaths, depravity, contamination, and they want to find a solution to all this. Well, listening to the Word is the way to have great miracles in their lives. The great problem of men is lacking miracles, they have to believe. Who has believed our message? (Isaiah 53:1) Not many believe. At the beginning there weren’t many who believed the Messiah. Nevertheless, God keeps working over the earth through servants that do listen to God and who with their beautiful feet go on opening paths for those who will be saved. This is where the great miracle occurs. Faith comes by hearing the message, and the message is heard through the Word of Christ (Romans 10:17). When people listen while we speak of the Lord they become full of hope and of confidence. There is a process that begins in them to believe that Jesus can work in their lives. When one listens with an open heart and mind, with a good disposition to listen to the truth of God, whoever does so, will discover that the Word has the seal of truth. When the Word is read the same thing happens as when it is heard, it is that the Word is received through any means. The lack of miracles in the lives is because the preaching of the gospel has not been heard. Paul borrows the words from Psalm 19:4 "But I say: Have they not heard? Of course they did: Their voice has gone out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world. " Yes, the truth is, throughout all the earth their voice has gone out and their words have reached the boundaries of the earth, although the sun, the moon and the stars give the universal testimony concerning the Glory of God. Paul borrows these words from the Psalm and comes to say that they are equally true, regarding the proclamation of the gospel in his own day. The same Holy Spirit that originally gave the words to the psalmist of course has the right to apply them again here in Paul's letter to the Romans. The Word has been preached since the times of Jesus and God does not stop. God continues to love and to send His voice nowadays through us who preach it. The miracles through the faith in His name occur in us continually and those who are in need of listening, may they listen to the Word from our own lips. Let us speed up our feet so that they will be beautiful for God! Amen.
