People That Have Seen Miracles

Topic: “People That Have Seen Miracles" Leviticus 25: 17-22 Leviticus 25:17 Do not take advantage of each other, but fear your God; I am the Lord your God.” WE WILL FEAR THE LORD. That is where our dedication is, in fearing the Lord. Most people have no devotion towards God; for such reason they have no fear and they speak as they please without realizing how life will turn out for them. God showed the people of Israel how they should walk in order for them to reach God’s mercies. THE MAN WHO FEARS KNOWS WHAT TO DO AND WHAT NOT TO DO. God warned them to not take advantage of their brother when buying or selling something. God wanted and wants us to fear Him so that throughout the journey of our lives we can always see Him work on our behalf, that we know that He will never get tired of blessing us. If we can think about how the water rises as it evaporates and drops again as rain! It is wonderful and it comes from God! We know that the earth rotates and does not slip out of its orbit, it is by His power! We know that when a large earthquake occurs we cannot run away because we have to hold on to something to not fall. This should overwhelm us! This is not for us to worry, but to be overwhelmed! Our children grow up before our eyes and we don’t know how it happens, but we do know that they have grown, all this SHOULD OVERWHELM US! How great his power and provision is! God’s will for His people is: for them to be safe here on earth! (Leviticus 25:18 "Follow my decrees and be careful to obey my laws, and you will live safely in the land.") There are requirements or rules to follow first. Many and diverse fears reach men. And those fears will lead them to make decisions that do not come from God. In order to live safely on earth you need to realize how you are living. The Lord says, "... keep my ordinances ..." If you are meek, first of all you will obey His ordinances, His commandments. Keeping His ordinances shows that you are meek. If you assume the proper attitude to be meek and you are, it will be easy for you to live here on earth. Otherwise, if you're not meek to obey, you will not be secure. Only the obedient and meek shall inhabit this earth in peace. There is tranquility and promises for those whose priority is to live in Him. God offers SECURITY to his children. (Leviticus 25:19 "... the land will yield its fruit and you will eat your fill, and live there in safety.") God tells His people to let the land rest the seventh year, to not work during that year (Vs. 4). You might think that with the suspension of tillage they would not have any food in that year and therefore hunger. It would be the most obvious result of the suspension of all work. (Leviticus 25:20 "Yet you say, what we will eat in the seventh year if we do not plant or harvest our crops ...") But the Lord says in Leviticus 25:21 "I will send you such a blessing in the sixth year THAT THE LAND WILL YIELD ENOUGH FOR THREE YEARS.” It is God who gives the fruit in abundance to our lives. If we believed Him more, then we wouldn’t have to talk or complain so much. We don’t have to

bustle so much; we just have to believe. They will have security and eat their fill! Provision would be made for the people by God’s special intervention, they would not lack of food. Why would the land give so much food in the sixth year that it would cover the year off and still have food left? Because of the OBEDIENCE! It is what God expects from us. IT WILL BE GOD’S MIRACULOUS HAND AT WORK FOR THOSE WHO OBEY! The sixth year would produce a miraculous amount of food that would last for three years! "I will command my blessing the sixth year, and it shall bring forth fruit for three years." God’s blessing lasts a long time! It was so simple, they just had to sit still and obey, and only believe what God commanded. What God wants is for His children to be dependent on Him. He wants to give man rest. For such reason, the Lord added to His creatures faith, the substance of things hoped for, the conviction of what is not seen! Faith is the confidence and clear knowledge we have of God's power. We should never doubt God! So, the sixth year would produce a miraculous amount of food that would be so abundant as to feed them for three years. No nation could receive this, only the nation who has seen the fulfillment of God's promises in their lives. Those people had been persuaded to suspend their agricultural preparations for a whole year. No one but only a conscientious legislator acting under divine authority would have compromised his character for something as rare as the sabbatical year. But, Israel's laws were divine and ruled only by God! For such reason they believed and obeyed him. They had seen the miracles and the promises of God in their lives. They had seen God give them food and water in the desert, and sent them the cloud by day and fire by night to guide and protect them, the sea had been divided for them to cross and they had seen Pharaoh and all Egypt perish. They were before the divine authority; God is Israel’s authority. They were committed in believing God and God would give them abundantly! Do you believe God? Believe Him, obey Him, and you will lack nothing from His hand! Amen.
