In All Their Affliction He Was Also Afflicted

Topic: "In All Their Affliction He Was Also Afflicted" Isaiah 63:8-9

As you are of God and you belong to Him, HE PARTICIPATES OF YOUR SORROWS! It is very good to know this, because then in the pain you will be victorious and at rest with Him. Jehovah said it! The Lord said so for His people Israel and He also said it for us who are His people of the grace. Isaiah 63: 8-9 "He said, Surely my people are children that will not lie; he was their Savior. In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them; in his love and in his pity he redeemed them and brought them and all the days of old.” God thought to choose us as the people of His covenant. The people of Israel have the law with them; but since the days of the Lord Jesus Christ He made a new covenant with us which is the covenant of grace, the new covenant in His blood. Hebrews 9:15 "For this reason Christ is the mediator of a new covenant, that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance- now that he has died as a ransom to set them free from the sins committed under the first covenant." We can see that God Himself manifests over the lives of all those He calls. My people are. "...Children who do not lie." God says this of His people! We know that man proceeds is not good and yet, God thought and made a commitment with those he called to be his people; He is the one who would do. We see that God chose us to be His people of the covenant. God does not ignore that one would not maintain fidelity. How well He knows it! God said for Himself "do not lie", knowing very well how human beings think. He said it for Himself: "Surely my people are children that will not lie and was their Savior, because He knows what is proper in us, one’s nature, but he said it FOR HIM! God trusted, He believed for Himself. His delivery for me is the result of His kindness for me. Surely my people are children who do not lie! That is the result of His kindness for you and for me! He does although the enormity of the inhuman perversity is vividly exposed. It is not what we are, but what He will do in one for His kindness. “...and so he became their Savior." In virtue of having chosen His people He became THEIR SAVIOR AND REDEEMER. (Ephesians 1:3-4 "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ, as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before Him.") His eternal choice is the foundation that He now saves men. He chose us in Him. In Him we are and He is our source, He is the source in us to receive life, a new life. God wanted to do it this way since before the foundation of the world. He did it so we would be holy and blameless before Him. He saved us from the beginning and expects us to be loyal to Him. He is our Savior! "He was afflicted ..." There was sorrow for Him. "... And the angel of his presence (face) saved them!" It is the angel of Jehovah, the angel of the covenant, that is, the Lord Jesus Christ Himself pre-incarnated, who can well be called the angel of Jehovah's face, not only because He is a faithful representation of His real being, but also for being the manifestation of the invisible God in the flesh. (John 19:9, 1 Timothy 3:16, 1 John 4:2)

AND IN ALL YOUR DISTRESS HE WAS ALSO DISTRESSED! God Himself participates in the sufferings of His people. He is afflicted in their afflictions, like good parents grieve when one of their children become ill. In all our afflictions, He in His kindness towards us does not allow us to experience some hardship. The angel of His presence, this means the angel is before Him continuously, He is the Messiah. Or you do not believe and become desperate. OR YOU BELIEVE IN HIM AND REST IN HIM! Amen
