Happy Are Those Who Are Chosen

TOPIC: “Happy Are Those Who Are Chosen” Psalm 65:1-4 Many nights of darkness will come to the fair. But when God is with you, with Him comes the appearance of the morning. It's like that spring that visits us from above, allowing us to see that the darkness abandons us and the freshness arrives. "Thine is the praise ..." Is that belong to the Church of Christ, the Firstborn. Hebrews 1:6 "And again, when God brings His Firstborn (Jesus Christ) into the world, he says, “Let all God’s angels worship him.” The blood of Christ covers you! When we think of the Church this thought comes into our lives: The Church, the one with the humble praises to the God of Zion! We are still awaiting the coming of the Lord, but refining our voice in the midst of the tears we shed on this earth. What we should imagine is how great and beautiful the harmony of the voices that will be heard will be when the moment expected arrives and the King appears in His glory! The Rev. Charles Spurgeon said, "The more you fill yourself with worship and reverence, the less pleased you will be with the inadequate way in which many people nowadays express the songs to proclaim the divine kindness." How much we should rest for God hears our prayer! God never changes in His attributes. He is an immutable Being; not only has He heard your prayer, but He is now hearing it and always has to hear it. He does not change. David believed in a personal God and did not worship a mere idea. That is why he said, "O you who hear prayer, to you all men will come.” Psalm 65:2 Whatever the cause, whatever the faults, to turn to God is the life of the true religion. We go crying in the conversation crying and waiting in the plea, rejoicing in the praise and delighting ourselves in the service. It is certain that none of those who seek God diligently will be left without a reward. "The iniquities prevail against me..." Psalm 65:3 Our sins, had it not been for the grace, would have prevailed against us in the court of divine justice, in the court of conscience and in the battle of life. "But our transgressions you will forgive." What a comfort that the iniquities that are against us do not prevail before God! They would keep us far from God, but He erases them from His presence and from ours. In this Psalm David leads us to obtain purification from sin before we can enter the service of song. Nothing that fills your mind of sin, rebellion or hatred can remain in your life; if you do not sanctify yourself in Him, you cannot sing or rejoice. If there is absence of sanctification you cannot feel Him, well the Lord does not dwell where there is no sanctification. When we have cleansed our clothing and made them white thru His blood, then our canticle is accepted: Worthy is the Lamb that was slain! Hallelujah! (Revelation 5:12) "Blessed are those you choose and bring to you..." Psalm 65:4 We are chosen by God. We see that it is through the Lord Jesus Christ that comes all this blessing. "And a voice from heaven said: This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased." Matthew 3:17 Jesus is truly over all things, God blessed forever! And in Him are also fortunate His elected. FOR THE LOVE TO HIM WE HAVE BEEN CHOSEN. It is in Him, it is not in us that we have been

accepted by God. The Bible says: "Being accepted in the Beloved..." (Ephesians 1: 6); and therefore we are blessed in Him. He is our blessing! The crown of all this is that we do not come to God "with danger" of destruction as Nadab and Abihu, but that we come close as the chosen and accepted in Christ to be residents of the divine house. (Leviticus 10:1-3) "Aaron’s sons Nadab and Abihu took their censers, put fire in them and added incense; and they offered unauthorized fire before the Lord, contrary to his command. So fire came out from the presence of the Lord and consumed them, and they died before the Lord. Moses then said to Aaron: This is what the LORD spoke of when he said: Among those who approach me I will show myself holy; in the sight of all the people I will be honored. Aaron remained silent.” These two youngsters with all and their call were not sanctified for God when offering their praise. To God this was strange, He could not sense purity, the smell was disobedience. Sobriety bears the purity that the sons of Aaron were unaware of. We are chosen to be holy and delight ourselves in God. Happy are the chosen! There is a holy God and there are holy people. Amen.
