I.Jesús pagó la paz
A. El yugo simboliza dirección, obediencia, discipulado.

Christ Teaches Us for Peace
Matthew 11:28-30
Introduction
If there is one thing Jesus cared to leave us, it was peace. He did not leave it as a command or as a gift to be handed out: He paid for it on the cross. And the rest He promises is not the disappearance of the struggle. "The rest of the righteous is not the absence of struggle, but the presence of Christ in the middle of it." Jesus does not remove every burden: He removes the weight that crushes. From there the study expounds the invitation of Matthew 11:28-30 phrase by phrase —come unto me, take my yoke, learn of me— and completes it with four passages on how a burden is transferred and who holds up the one who lets it go.
I.Jesus paid for peace
A. When He left, Jesus did not leave gifts or assignments of work: He took His disciples in His arms. What He cared about was that we would know peace.
B. The Father could have granted it by decree. But Jesus paid for it, in a body broken and drained of blood that they took down from the cross. In that death we came to know peace.
C. Everything on earth is vanity, because nothing fills. That is why a life is built on the desire to know God.
D. Law of sowing and reaping: what you have today you sought earlier, and what you sow today you will receive later. Whoever feels lukewarm today did not sow the flame, the fire, and the passion of God.
II.Jesus does not remove every burden: He removes the weight that crushes
A. Whoever has no burden is dead. The burden is part of being alive.
B. There are burdens God does not lift, and things one would like to resolve and cannot in ten or fifteen years. But He removes what crushes, what suffocates, what keeps a person from moving.
C. The rest of the righteous is not the absence of struggle, but the presence of Christ in the middle of it. Because He is in the middle, we are not torn apart.
D. The whole day wearies: what you hear, what you turn on, the news. It is all fatigue; that is why it matters who is in the middle of it.
III.The character of Christ
A. True rest is the character of Christ: a formation on the inside, where no one sees and where no one can plant anything.
B. If someone plants something in you and you store it up, you poison yourself; and the poison is your own. That is why one must listen only to what is worth hearing.
C. Jesus lived in hiding, without food, hunted by the religious men who later crucified Him; and He knew it. Even so, His character passed to His disciples.
D. Every assault aims at the heart: the wound, the hatred, the shout. What must be done with the heart is to strengthen it and to love, which is what sustained Jesus.
IV."Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden"
A. It is a personal and direct invitation. He does not call to a religious system or a method, but to a private relationship with Him.
B. If we serve Jesus we should not wear the look of the troubled or the face of the defeated. Where are the victorious faces?
C. "Labour and are heavy laden" includes physical, emotional, and spiritual weariness, even what a person thinks will never be fixed.
D. "I will give you rest": it is not temporary relief, it is a work Christ Himself produces, a deep rest that reaches the soul.
E. Prayer reaches the Father through the Son, because no one can reach Him alone; and since Jesus paid for it, it is through Him.
F. Whoever lives off himself lives under his emotions. The problem of your life is you, and the one who sets life in order is Christ.
V."Take my yoke upon you"
A. The yoke stands for direction, obedience, discipleship.
B. Jesus does not promise a life without responsibility, but a life guided by Him.
C. The scene with Judas: "friend, betrayest thou me with a kiss?". That mind collapsed, and he chose condemnation. No one had to explain to him what he had done.
VI."Learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart"
A. True rest comes from continual learning from Christ: His character, His will, and His way of living before the Father.
B. Not even the disciples had learned it yet: Paul had to confront Peter for withdrawing and still defending the law, and Peter had walked with Jesus.
C. If we carry the teachings the way we ourselves measure them, we have already failed. The Word needs no alteration; otherwise each of us seasons it to taste.
D. What is kept in the heart is a flame: the heart keeps sending it blood and it grows with more irritation. Breaking with our own haughtiness and opinion is what makes us resemble Christ.
E. Jesus holds all authority and does not rule with harshness: His authority is marked by meekness and humility, and that makes His yoke unlike any other.
VII."My yoke is easy, and my burden is light"
A. The burden is light not because it does not exist, but because Christ shares it.
B. Take only what God places on you. The earth has burdens to spare: the ones this person hands you, the ones that one hands you, the ones waiting at home.
C. These are times of many burdens, and everything that is life turns into a burden. That is why the yoke must be changed, not the weight denied.
VIII.Cast all your care upon Him (1 Peter 5:7)
A. "Cast" means to throw, to deposit completely: not to manage the burden, nor steer it, nor handle it, nor keep it.
B. Anxiety is that inner state of worry that divides the heart and shifts trust in God toward fear of the future. What it wants is to take away your faith.
C. It includes legitimate worries, deep fears, and inner and outer pressures; and only God can overcome it, because we cannot.
D. Biblical faith is not denying the weight, but placing it on the One who can hold it: "I cannot, Lord; this is your burden".
E. "For he careth for you": God's care is not occasional or general, it is personal with each one. And God does not give a burden a person cannot carry.
IX.Cast thy burden upon the LORD (Psalm 55:22)
A. Do not keep on you what you cannot carry. The overload comes from trying to cover the world: helping, protecting, and holding up everyone.
B. The verb "cast" implies a conscious, decided action. And it is not sharing the burden: it is transferring it.
C. The burden includes worries, afflictions, outer pressures, and inner struggles a person cannot manage alone; not responsibilities and duties, which are another matter.
D. "And he shall sustain thee": to uphold, support, and keep the righteous on his feet. Sustaining does not always mean the problem is removed; some problems are carried for years.
E. "He shall never suffer the righteous to be moved": the righteous may fall, weaken, or feel beaten down, but he is not permanently defeated, because God intervenes.
X.Daily He loadeth us with benefits (Psalm 68:19)
A. It is conscious praise: it acknowledges God as worthy of honor for who He is and what He does, even before listing His works.
B. "Daily" indicates continuity: His care is not occasional or reserved for extraordinary moments, but daily and sustained.
C. "Loadeth us with benefits": no mortal gives benefits to anyone. And they are not only visible blessings: also preservation, provision, strength, and everyday mercy.
D. "The God of our salvation" names the source: the God who rescues, delivers, and saves. His blessings are anchored in His saving work, not in temporary handouts.
E. He is the one who carries our burdens daily, not merely the one who receives our petitions; His care flows from His character.
XI.Fear not, for I am with thee (Isaiah 41:10)
A. "Fear not" does not deny the reality of fear: it confronts it with a greater reason.
B. "For I am with thee": the ground for not fearing is God's presence; not a promise of no problems, but of faithful company through everything.
C. "Be not dismayed; for I am thy God": discouragement is met by remembering who God is and whose we are.
D. "I will strengthen thee": God does not only accompany, He imparts strength when human strength runs out; a strength that comes from outside, not from one's own spirits.
E. "I will help thee": the help does not depend on human merit but on God's faithfulness.
F. "I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness": the right hand stands for power and authority, and He upholds with uprightness and with commitment to His promises.
G. The believer does not lean on his circumstances, but on the unchanging character of God. To live under circumstances is to live defeated.
XII.Application
A. Go to Him before you go to people. Rest begins in the drawing near, not in the conversation.
B. Distinguish your duties from your burdens: duties are carried out, burdens are handed over.
C. Do not carry what is not yours. Trying to hold everyone up produces an overload that takes your peace.
D. Filter what you listen to: what others plant and you store up ends up poisoning you.
E. Learn meekness and lowliness: that, and not your own opinion, is where the rest of the soul is found.
F. Lean on God's character rather than on how your circumstances are going, because they change and He does not.

Cristo nos enseña para paz
Mateo 11:28-30

- Jesús dice «venid a mí».
