Hay algo difícil para el ser humano: pretendemos en tantas ocasiones que tenemos el saber, y eso casi siempre nos lleva a actos de rebeldía. Si hay algo de mucho compromiso que tenemos con Dios es que hemos tenido una reconciliación con Él. Y la reconciliación no es una mera restauración: supone empezar de nuevo, y ofrece una relación con Dios que el ser humano nunca podría alcanzar con sus propias fuerzas. Aquí no se habla solamente de los que están en pecado, sino de cómo nos quedamos atrás cuando podríamos estar más adelante. Rasgad vuestro corazón, y no vuestros vestidos.
I.Convertíos a mí con todo vuestro corazón... rasgad vuestro corazón, y no vuestros vestidos (Joel 2:12-13).
AA. El alma es la que domina por naturaleza.
1.
Somos alma, cuerpo y espíritu. El niño tiene su alma manifiesta y no ha desarrollado el espíritu; el espíritu se desarrolla cuando comenzamos a conocer directamente a Dios.
2.
El alma confunde, el alma aturde y el alma abate. ¿Por qué te abates, oh alma mía, y te turbas dentro de mí? Espera en Dios.
3.
Por eso nuestra boca es muy sensible al alma; y según el alma nos pone, se aligera la boca a hablar. Es ausencia del conocimiento de ser persona espiritual.
4.
Si observas el mensaje, te puedes evaluar y decir que automáticamente, por instinto, tú hablas. ¿Por qué? Por el alma; y el alma habla tanto que turba.
5.
Ya yo he visto que en la tierra nada da contentamiento: lo que te contenta hoy, mañana un poquito de algo te va a frustrar. Nadie puede decir que tiene contentamiento permanente con los humanos.
BB. Perdona nuestras deudas.
1.
No es que Jesús necesitara esa oración: nosotros necesitamos esa oración. Y cada día, al llegar a esa parte, es algo que da dolor.
2.
Cuando uno tiene que decir: Señor, perdona, porque no he hecho esto; Señor, perdona, porque no he amado como debía amar.
3.
Eso no es automático: es una oración completamente disciplinada. Porque es fácil no orar; es más cómodo caer en las tonterías de la vida que llevar una oración.
4.
Ni tú ni yo merecemos nada: merecemos castigo. Hoy pensamos bien y mañana mal; hoy amamos y mañana detestamos a la humanidad; hoy queremos hacer las cosas rectas y mañana nos llenamos de pasiones.
5.
Porque hacer el bien y no hacerlo es pecado. Así de sencillo. Has podido hacerle bien a muchos y nunca lo has hecho, porque dices: cada cual haga lo suyo.
6.
Y eso no es un impulso, ni es porque quiero o porque pretendo: es por una sola razón, porque amo.
II.La reconciliación no es una mera restauración: supone empezar de nuevo.
AA. Una relación que no se alcanza con fuerzas propias.
1.
Hacer lo bueno y no hacerlo es ausencia de una recompensa. Llegarás al cielo con una salvación, claro; pero la salvación la pagó Cristo completa.
2.
Tú no has hecho nada para ser salvo ni para tener esa sangre. No llegaste al Señor porque querías: unos por problemas, otros por circunstancias, otros por enfermedad.
3.
Hay rutinas de rezos, y hay que tener cuidado dónde caen los rezos; en esas rutinas lo que se hace es limpiar la conciencia que acusa. Porque para eso tenemos conciencia: la conciencia acusa. Pero tú la cauterizas.
4.
El ser humano es bien orgulloso, y no es por el pelo que se hace: es adentro, en esa profundidad de un silencio que se nos hace compinche. Nadie te puede acabar: tu silencio es el que te acaba.
5.
¿Crees que un hijo puede hacer por ti alguna maravilla? ¿O que una madre puede hacer maravillas? Absolutamente no podemos; somos limitados. El que hace maravillas es Dios, y de nosotros mana sencillamente el servicio por amor.
BB. Renacer por la fuerza del Espíritu.
1.
El día que nos convertimos, si Jesús llegó y te lavó con su sangre preciosa, es para que llegue completamente el Espíritu Santo a nuestras vidas.
2.
Y entran esas fuerzas, de modo que tú ya no eres común ni corriente: no hablas bobadas ni te mueves conforme a lo que tu antigua persona te dicta.
3.
Porque tu personalidad se impone tanto que opaca completamente al Espíritu Santo en tu vida.
4.
La persona que tiene el Espíritu Santo no es meramente la que viene a la iglesia: es la que sabe que es guiada por Él, que Él le revela las Escrituras y que Él es quien le redarguye.
5.
El Espíritu Santo no puede estar donde hay manchas. Tu causa la puedes defender con otro mortal; pero ante el Espíritu Santo uno no se puede defender.
6.
Reconciliación es desenojar, es quitar el enojo. Si Dios te quiere usar, y eres parte de su cuerpo, y estás viviendo una quinta parte en la carne, ahí no puede haber esa relación.
III.Ve a lavarte en el estanque de Siloé; fue entonces, y se lavó, y regresó viendo (Juan 9:7).
AA. Jesús iba de camino a reconciliar consigo a un ciego.
1.
¿No podría Jesús haberlo sanado de inmediato allí? Pero un barro que sane no se asocia con medicina.
2.
¿Por qué llega Jesús a este ciego entre toda la multitud? Porque fue directamente a que él se reconciliara con Él. A Jesús le interesaba un pobre infeliz, maltrecho, burlado y despreciado.
3.
Miren la sencillez del cielo: buscó al ciego para que se reconciliara con Él mediante un milagro. Ese es el trato de Dios cuando quiere reconciliar al ser humano.
4.
Lo único es que, después que recibimos el bienestar que a Dios le plació darnos, damos la vuelta y nos vamos.
5.
Ahí empezó la reconciliación, porque ahí se activó su fe: en el estanque está el milagro, allá voy, porque el que me lo dijo es el gran Yo Soy.
6.
No se trata de que recobrase la vista: él nunca la había tenido. Dios inmediatamente le creó la vista. ¡Qué sorpresa ver por primera vez el mundo en el que había vivido tanto tiempo!
BB. Señor, hedor despide ya (Juan 11:39).
1.
No hay visión sin obediencia; no hay resurrección sin reconciliación.
2.
Hiede ya es un rechazo, y el rechazo es a Jesús. Marta lo conocía y lo había visto hacer muchos milagros, y dudó: llegaste tarde, cuatro días.
3.
Jesús mandó que quitaran la piedra. Podría haberlo hecho Él mismo ordenándolo de palabra, porque Él creó esa piedra; pero Dios no suele hacer por los hombres lo que ellos pueden hacer por sí mismos.
4.
Aprenda usted esto: no le pidas a Dios lo que tú puedes hacer bien.
5.
Señor, si hubieses estado aquí, no habría muerto mi hermano: ahí también hay un reclamo. En la vida uno habla cosas por las que tiene que reconciliarse con Dios.
6.
A la mujer adúltera nadie pudo tirarle la piedra; nadie puede tirarle piedras a nadie. Pero hay que demostrar una reconciliación con Dios. El cielo no tiene filtro: al cielo se va en pureza.
IV.Estos son los que han salido de la gran tribulación, y han lavado sus ropas en la sangre del Cordero (Apocalipsis 7:13-14).
AA. No hay entrada al cielo sin limpieza.
1.
La conversación que Juan tiene aquí es en el cielo; fue en el espíritu, y a Juan se le reveló todo lo que era el final de los tiempos.
2.
Para ser limpio de verdad es cuando el hermano se reconcilia con Dios.
3.
Aquí el cuerpo de Cristo ya no está en la tierra. Son esos siete años violentos, en los que aún habrá oportunidad para la reconciliación.
4.
Pero no será fácil convertirse en ese tiempo, porque todos se tienen que sellar en la frente o en la mano derecha; de esa forma se ha de pagar lo que se ha de comer.
5.
¿De qué forma llegan entonces los vestidos de blanco al trono? Aquellos que se dejaron ejecutar. De la única forma en que podemos ir al cielo es con la sangre del Cordero.
6.
Las palmas que llevan no son solo de victoria, sino también de martirio: perdieron violentamente la vida en la persecución encendida por el anticristo, por causa de la Palabra de Dios.
BB. El sexto sello y la ira del Cordero (Apocalipsis 6:10-17).
1.
Los que moran en la tierra son los incrédulos que toman la tierra como su hogar. A los mártires se les da vestidura blanca como símbolo de su rectitud, y se les manda reposar hasta que se complete el número.
2.
La apertura del sexto sello produjo enormes convulsiones de la naturaleza: un gran terremoto sacudió la tierra y el mar, y todo el globo se mueve.
3.
El sol se puso negro y la luna como sangre; las estrellas cayeron como la higuera deja caer sus higos; y el cielo se desvaneció como un pergamino que se enrolla.
4.
Todo monte y toda isla fueron removidos de su lugar. Las islas van a desaparecer, dicen las Escrituras; también esta, que es pequeñísima.
5.
No es sorprendente que todas las clases de la sociedad se viesen sobrecogidas de pánico, reconociendo que Dios estaba derramando su ira. Se escondieron en las cuevas; no quisieron reconciliación.
6.
Preferían ser aplastados por los montes antes que soportar el juicio de Dios y la ira del Cordero. Se dieron cuenta demasiado tarde de que ningún rebelde podrá sostenerse en pie. La reconciliación es ganar; estar lejos del Señor es la gran tragedia. Amén.

Reconciliation
Joel 2:12-13
Introduction
There is something hard for the human being: so often we claim to have the knowledge, and that almost always leads us into acts of rebellion. If there is anything of great obligation that we have with God, it is that we have had a reconciliation with Him. And reconciliation is not a mere restoration: it means beginning again, and it offers a relationship with God that a human being could never reach by his own strength. What is spoken of here is not only those who are in sin, but how we stay behind when we could be further ahead. Rend your heart, and not your garments.
I.Turn ye even to me with all your heart... and rend your heart, and not your garments (Joel 2:12-13).
AA. The soul is what rules by nature.
1.
We are soul, body, and spirit. A child has his soul in plain view and has not developed the spirit; the spirit is developed when we begin to know God directly.
2.
The soul confuses, the soul bewilders, and the soul casts down. Why art thou cast down, O my soul, and why art thou disquieted within me? Hope thou in God.
3.
That is why our mouth is so sensitive to the soul; and as the soul sets us, the mouth is quick to speak. It is the absence of knowing oneself to be a spiritual person.
4.
If you weigh the message, you can examine yourself and say that automatically, by instinct, you speak. Why? Because of the soul; and the soul speaks so much that it disquiets.
5.
I have already seen that nothing on earth gives contentment: what contents you today, tomorrow some small thing will spoil. No one can claim permanent contentment with human beings.
BB. Forgive us our debts.
1.
It is not that Jesus needed that prayer: we need that prayer. And each day, coming to that part, it is something that gives pain.
2.
When one has to say: Lord, forgive me, because I have not done this; Lord, forgive me, because I have not loved as I ought to have loved.
3.
That is not automatic: it is a wholly disciplined prayer. For it is easy not to pray; it is more comfortable to fall into life's trifles than to keep a prayer.
4.
Neither you nor I deserve anything: we deserve punishment. Today we think well and tomorrow ill; today we love and tomorrow we detest humanity; today we want to do what is upright and tomorrow we are filled with passions.
5.
For to do good and not to do it is sin. It is that simple. You could have done good to many and never did, because you say: let each one mind his own.
6.
And that is not an impulse, nor because I want to, nor because I am pretending: it is for one reason only, because I love.
II.Reconciliation is not a mere restoration: it means beginning again.
AA. A relationship not reached by one's own strength.
1.
To do good and not do it is the absence of a reward. You will arrive in heaven with a salvation, certainly; but the salvation Christ paid in full.
2.
You have done nothing to be saved, nor to have that blood. You did not come to the Lord because you wanted to: some through troubles, some through circumstances, some through sickness.
3.
There are routines of recited prayers, and care must be taken where they land; in those routines what is done is to clean the conscience that accuses. For that is what a conscience is for: the conscience accuses. But you sear it.
4.
The human being is very proud, and it is not about how the hair is done: it is inside, in that depth of a silence that becomes our accomplice. No one can finish you off: your silence is what finishes you.
5.
Do you think a child can work some wonder for you? Or that a mother can work wonders? We absolutely cannot; we are limited. The one who works wonders is God, and from us flows simply the service of love.
BB. To be born again by the power of the Spirit.
1.
The day we were converted, if Jesus came and washed you with His precious blood, it was so that the Holy Spirit might come fully into our lives.
2.
And that strength enters, so that you are no longer common or ordinary: you do not speak foolishness, nor move according to what your old self dictates.
3.
For your own personality imposes itself so much that it eclipses the Holy Spirit in your life.
4.
The person who has the Holy Spirit is not merely the one who comes to church: it is the one who knows he is led by Him, that He reveals the Scriptures, and that He is the one who convicts.
5.
The Holy Spirit cannot be where there are stains. Your case you can defend with another mortal; but before the Holy Spirit one cannot defend oneself.
6.
Reconciliation is the putting away of anger. If God wants to use you, and you are part of His body, and you are living a fifth of it in the flesh, there can be no such relationship.
III.Go, wash in the pool of Siloam. He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing (John 9:7).
AA. Jesus was on His way to reconcile a blind man to Himself.
1.
Could Jesus not have healed him at once right there? But clay that heals is not what one associates with medicine.
2.
Why does Jesus come to this blind man out of the whole multitude? Because He went straight to have him reconciled to Himself. Jesus cared about a poor wretch, battered, mocked, and despised.
3.
Look at the simplicity of heaven: He sought out the blind man so that he would be reconciled to Him through a miracle. That is God's dealing when He wants to reconcile a human being.
4.
The only thing is that after we receive the good it pleased God to give us, we turn around and walk away.
5.
There the reconciliation began, because there his faith was set in motion: the miracle is at the pool, there I go, because the one who told me is the great I Am.
6.
It was not that he recovered his sight: he had never had it. God created sight for him at once. What a surprise, to see for the first time the world he had lived in so long.
BB. Lord, by this time he stinketh (John 11:39).
1.
There is no sight without obedience; there is no resurrection without reconciliation.
2.
He stinketh already is a refusal, and the refusal is toward Jesus. Martha knew Him and had seen Him work many miracles, and she doubted: you came late, four days.
3.
Jesus commanded them to take away the stone. He could have done it Himself by a word, for He created that stone; but God does not usually do for men what they can do for themselves.
4.
Learn this: do not ask God for what you can do well yourself.
5.
Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died: there is a complaint in that too. In life one says things for which one must be reconciled to God.
6.
No one could cast a stone at the adulterous woman; no one can cast stones at anyone. But a reconciliation with God must be shown. Heaven has no filter: one enters heaven in purity.
IV.These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes in the blood of the Lamb (Revelation 7:13-14).
AA. There is no entrance to heaven without cleansing.
1.
The conversation John has here is in heaven; he was in the spirit, and to John was revealed all that concerned the end of the times.
2.
To be truly clean is when a person is reconciled to God.
3.
Here the body of Christ is no longer on the earth. These are those violent seven years, in which there will still be opportunity for reconciliation.
4.
But it will not be easy to be converted in that time, because all must be sealed in the forehead or in the right hand; that is how what is eaten must be paid for.
5.
How then do those clothed in white come to the throne? Those who let themselves be executed. The only way we can go to heaven is by the blood of the Lamb.
6.
The palms they carry are not only of victory but also of martyrdom: they lost their lives violently in the persecution kindled by the antichrist, for the sake of the Word of God.
BB. The sixth seal and the wrath of the Lamb (Revelation 6:10-17).
1.
Those who dwell on the earth are the unbelievers who take the earth for their home. White robes are given to the martyrs as a sign of their righteousness, and they are told to rest until the number is complete.
2.
The opening of the sixth seal produced enormous convulsions of nature: a great earthquake shook the earth and the sea, and the whole globe moves.
3.
The sun became black and the moon as blood; the stars fell as a fig tree casts her figs; and the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together.
4.
Every mountain and island was moved out of its place. The islands will disappear, say the Scriptures; this one too, which is very small.
5.
It is no wonder that every class of society was seized with panic, recognizing that God was pouring out His wrath. They hid in the caves; they would not have reconciliation.
6.
They would rather be crushed by the mountains than bear the judgment of God and the wrath of the Lamb. They realized too late that no rebel can stand before it. Reconciliation is gain; to be far from the Lord is the great tragedy. Amen.

Aquí no se habla solo de los que están en pecado, sino de cómo nos quedamos atrás cuando podríamos estar más adelante. Estos son los puntos del domingo, para llevarlos toda la semana.
Somos alma, cuerpo y espíritu; el alma domina por naturaleza: confunde, aturde y abate. Por eso la boca se aligera a hablar según el alma nos pone. ¿Por qué te abates, oh alma mía? Espera en Dios.
«Perdona nuestras deudas» no es automático: es una oración disciplinada, y al llegar a esa parte duele. Ni tú ni yo merecemos nada; merecemos castigo. Y hacer el bien y no hacerlo es pecado, así de sencillo.

Así lo dice la Biblia. En palabras sencillas: Dios no quiere que rompas tu ropa, sino que le des el corazón de verdad, porque Él perdona. La pastora contó que Jesús le puso barro en los ojos a un ciego, y el barro no cura: lo que lo sanó fue creerle.
1Tienes alma, cuerpo y espíritu. El alma es la que manda cuando eres niño, y el alma confunde, se turba y hace hablar rápido. El espíritu crece cuando empiezas a conocer a Dios.
2Pedir perdón a Dios no es automático: hay que hacerlo cada día, y duele. Y ojo: no hacer el bien que puedes hacer también es pecado, aunque no hayas hecho nada malo.
3Jesús buscó a un ciego que nadie quería, le untó barro en los ojos y le dijo: ve a lavarte. El ciego le creyó, corrió al estanque, y volvió viendo el mundo por primera vez.
4Marta le dijo a Jesús: llegaste tarde, mi hermano ya huele mal. Jesús mandó quitar la piedra, aunque podía moverla con una palabra. Dios no hace por ti lo que tú puedes hacer.
5Al cielo se va limpio; el cielo no tiene filtro. Al final, cuando venga el juicio, muchos se esconderán en las cuevas en vez de reconciliarse con Dios. Se darán cuenta demasiado tarde.
